You might know the answer to this (as I don't - and I can't find it anywhere). When I was in Guatemala (married to a smokeshow of a hot slutwife) in 2013/14, the license plates had 1954 on them. I'm aware that the overrated do-nothing of a POTUS at that time authorised and orchestrated the coup there. Is the reference to that year a constant reminder that the US has never - to say the least - had that country's best interests at heart (despite the fact that USD is accepted alongside GTQ)?

Traditionally, the party with a POTUS in their first term doesn't bother with a Primary at all. While the GQP had a Primary in 2020, who the heck (outside of Massachusetts or Illinois) has even heard of Bill Weld, Roque De La Guerte Ferra, or Joe Walsh? Restrictive, to say the least. Partner visas were taking up to 15 years to be approved - and a lot of members here would be denied permanent residency visas, as Australia prohibits anyone with HIV from immigrating, even if they are a child or parent or spouse of a citizen. Australia also naturally assumes that anyone who wants to migrate only does so for the economic benefits. You basically have to run a gamut of crap to even have someone look at your application - and the system is full of fraudulent "immigration specialists" who are only too glad to take your money then sit on their asses.

Not that he has the cajones to do it. His MO? Bleat about it, occasionally shout "what he's doing is an affront to democracy!", and then sit on his backside and presume that things will steady themselves on November 5. At the moment, Trump is Denis Healey and Biden is Geoffrey Howe (those who know, know).

I sincerely hope that folks here remember that how you vote in November literally affects the rest of the world. If Trump wins, there will be a number of countries that won't exist by this time next year.
