I tell them we're living through a huge sex revolution. Up to you, but don't have to be alright with the chance. Doxy pep is good at stopping bacteria STDs, I plan to start it soon, but it's not like the almost certainty prep gives you for HIV protection. None of my ex gf were even cool about me wanking by myself, so coming out bi would have been a massive deal. Guys can be twitchy and if that feeling gets too big they run off. It happens a lot. I think there's confusion. Eunuch is a guy with no nuts, but normally still has his dick. These days most guys with one or both nuts missing were born without them or had cancer and got them removed. They're not less male, just guys who didn't have/lost a body part. It happens.
