My guess would be stress, generally. You described both physical stress (HIV, crypto, medication) and emotional stress (the drumbeat of political news). Stress can really fuck with your libido; it certainly does with mine. Rather than thinking of sexy fun time... (as a book I've been reading lately puts it). Ayup. Not the recommended treatment for stress, of course, but an understandable response.

I have had issues, even recently, with providers unfamiliar with or reticent to prescribe Doxy-PEP. Some with PrEP also, but not recently, and more people misunderstanding my prescription history and thinking I was HIV+ (at the time I was not). -
I redacted the detail for discussion with the OP in a private message. The short answer here is Read the Rules - which are in the topic linked below (as well as separate detailed posts about specific rules, which are linked from there). These are the same rules that the moderation staff checks when we have to make a judgment call. If you are not sure whether a particular post complies with the rules, or for some reason you feel you need to push the boundaries to express yourself appropriately, the correct procedure is to do your best, make your post, and then report your own post - in the body of the post ask a moderator to review it. This notifies the moderation staff so they can work with you to get it sorted out appropriately.

Moderator here. Welcome to BZ, @RogerPoz448! There aren't really any private forums here. A few of the forums (mostly the Backroom) are only visible to registered Members. You should be able to see those now. Everything else is (literally) visible to anyone on the internet. So, don't post things here that you wouldn't want your grandma to see... Though she probably wouldn't be reading this (though you never know). Getting banned or kicked off is actually pretty difficult. You can generally avoid it by following the Rules: TL;DR: Don't post Backroom stuff (HIV fetish and drugs) in other places; don't post straight/bi/transfem stuff except in designated areas; don't post scat, snuff, harmful things, or underage erotic stuff ANYWHERE on the site. Don't abuse other members. ...oh, and that's one delicious profile pic you have there! Woof!

I'm with the "you did nothing wrong" crowd. I think it's regrettable that you inadvertently pushed his boundaries, but I can't think of any way you could have guessed that he had them at that particular point. I find it rather surprising that someone with a boundary there would be at a bathhouse in the first place (I'd expect it at a mall bathroom, more like), but hey - kids these days!

Part of the trouble with those statistics is that it is a self-reporting system, and there is very likely cognitive bias in the reporting based on whether the drug is brand name or generic. Also, it includes common and well-known (although serious) side effects (e.g. kidney damage) so rare but very serious events are numerically swamped in the aggregate data. I don't know if it's written down anywhere (apart from in the code itself). @rawTOP is the man to ask. FWIW, the site's code is a responsive web design, so it resizes the images if you change window sizes or devices. However, after playing with it a bit, the way it works is that it updates the width and keeps the height fixed (and somehow chooses what portion of the original image best fits into that frame size). I poked around on your blog page with the developer console and the heights for the header image are 150px on the blog nav page (what I think you're calling the blog homepage, Blog>General>TheTrunkAndTheCage); 200px for the "top two" entries and 150px for those below them on the general blogs page (with everyone's blog, Blog>General); 300px on the individual blog entry page. Hope that helps!

There is at present no way to tell whether a story is complete (only the author would be able to say in any case). It's a great idea, though. You can see whether you've read anything in a topic when you are looking at a forum. The topics that contain new content have a red bullet or star in the left margin, while the ones you've read completely do not. Unfortunately "new content" includes comments, so it doesn't necessarily mean a continuation. I am under the impression that the new version of the site has a feature planned for this.

You can edit your own posts for a very short time after you first post them (about 10 minutes). If you want changes after that, simply report your own post (using the Report option in the '...' menu at the upper right corner of the post) and explain the changes in the body of the report. A moderator will take care of it.

The topic under discussion is SNAP, which used to be known as "Food Stamps". In the US, it provides assistance only for food primarily for people with children. You are asserting that "too many able bodied [people]" are depending on it "for life" and are not "fending for themselves". You are probably wrong, but you certainly should be providing some references to back up your assertion, because it is implausible considering what SNAP is.
