I'm glad you are there for him, and aren't trying to force him. This has to be his decision. Unless the drug and alcohol abuse, that you mentioned, becomes a major problem he will be better off finding his own path. As a versatile guy who isn't getting as much sex as he would like, I prefer guys that take the risk that they in at not be fully clean and accept that shit sometimes happens rather than not have sex. The problems with using the apps, is they work well in the same cities in person cruising works well. As someone who has traveled throughout North America, I still have to figure out what types of cruising work well for the area and then figure out the currently active locations, the apps are slightly easier since there are fewer of them but you still have to figure out which ones are locally active. I mostly use the apps to shortcut the process of learning the local in person cruising scene.

I would probably let your nephew know that you are there for him, and that he can always come for an extended visit. Getting him a phone and plan that is separate from the family is a good idea, but not sure that the iPad meets that need. Unless your nephew actually wants to uproot himself and move 900 miles, you can't force him. I also fully understand that he may not want to give up the truck he has purchased, potentially damaging his credit just when he needs it most. As long as his grandparents are letting him stay with them, my personal opinion is he has to do the rest on his own terms. Just be there for him if he needs you.

BBRT does not seem to be as active as it once was, and has always varied by area. So I don't think it is you, try it the next time you travel somewhere and see if it works there. I've always done really well using it in Palm Springs, most recently in July.

Having that group of active regulars goes a long way. That is something I really missed when I moved to Portland, in Denver I could go to either club I was a regular at and have at least a handful of regulars willing to have sex with me, if there was no "new meat" in the club, pretty much any night of the week. There are some places where the weather conditions seem to prevent launches almost all of the time. I have definitely noticed living here, that there is more sex to be had from December to February during the coldest wet weather, and almost no sex to be had in July and August when the sun is shining.
