    Hope I can explain this correctly, but I had a long-term partner who advanced into being a heavy drinker. He's got two years to do it, and then with the mid-terms we send them packing and make him a lame duck for the remainder of his term by hemming him in at every fucking turn. We can survive this.

So even though Kamala has not claimed Native ancestry, give those who have a break; its a very common misconception. And instead of trying to call them liars, suggest instead they take a DNA test and then you can discuss it. Even my ex husband thought he was and would have sworn on a stack of whatever that it was true based on his great grandmother's tales. DNA proved that a big fat lie.
