Here's my thoughts/reviews: Midtowne Spa tends to be hit or miss; also, safe sex seems to be more prevalent here than at the other bathhouses. The building entrance is along a relatively safe & quiet industrial street, but the surrounding area is much more sketchy and often dangerous (check the Google images for Skid Row Los Angeles); so definitely take a taxi. Flex Spa on Melrose Ave tends to be fun and usually has a good looking crowd at night as well as daytime in sunny weather (due to their outdoor pool & jacuzzi). Hollywood Spa tends to attract the party boys. North Hollywood Spa was really boring the only time that I went (about 10 years ago on a Saturday night). 1350 Club in Wilmington (near Long Beach) can be fun, but it isn't easy to via public transit and a taxi would be expensive. Melrose Spa tends to be hit or miss, and also tends to attract party guys (especially late at night). In addition to the bathhouses listed above, there are two sex clubs (similar to Blow Buddies in San Francisco): Slammer and the Zone. Comparing the two, Slammer tends to have more fucking and the guys are a bit wilder. Hope this info helps. Have fun!! -

Definitely on weekends, especially Sundays. Not sure about weekdays. Best places are trails around Buena Vista Drive (off of Park Row Drive, near the 110 freeway) and Grand View Drive (north of Elysian Reservoir, overlooking the 5 freeway). Park gates close when it gets dark, so no vehicles after that, but guys will park their cars on North Broadway near the L.A. River and walk up Meadow Road past Park Row Drive East than take the trails up towards Buena Vista Drive.

You should definitely check out Slammer sex club in East Hollywood. If you have access to the internet, BBRT.com is a good way to connect with people. LA's leather bars (Faultline, LA Eagle) are rather tame compared to London's, but you might meet someone there who has a sling at his place. Busiest saunas are Hollywood Spa, Flex Spa (in East Hollywood) and Midtowne Spa (in Downtown L.A.). Good luck... -

At a cruisy park (such as Elysian Park or Griffith Park in Los Angeles), I like to wear a tank top and mesh running pants or shorts. I cut out the inner layer on the mesh pants & shorts, which makes them much more revealing. Also, I tie my car door fob/clicker to my shoelaces and put my keys in the glove box. At a bathhouse, I sometimes where a jock strap.

Based on your recent experience(s), which days & times are good for uninhibited bareback fucking at the various L.A. area bathhouses (Hollywood, Flex, Midtowne, Melrose, 1350, etc.)? I had a really good time at Flex this summer on a Thursday night, Friday night and Sunday night (usually arriving about 10pm-midnight). Each time, the place was busy with a good mix of guys and lots of raw fucking. I didn't have as much fun on my most recent late-night visits to Midtowne (Friday & Saturday) and Melrose (Friday & Sunday). There just wasn't much action to be had (bareback or otherwise). What about you guys?
