First, thanks for the kind words. To your quote above, I would offer that you need to really make sure of what you want sexually, how far you're wiling to go, what sexual acts you're not willing to perform, what you are, etc. Take all the time you need to reflect on these questions, and when you have, offer your "firm limits" before committing to a scene. There is no shame what-so-ever in backing out of a serious scene if you're not thoroughly convinced of your safety, that your stated limits will be respected. I had to travel quite a bit for the businesses years ago, and had fun in many larger cities. San Fran was great, NYC was great, loved NOLA too for all kinds of reasons. However. Having spent most of my adult life in Chicago, now Ft. Lauderdale, only Berlin can compare to either of them for total descent into debauchery. I've been most fortunate, and I wouldn't change a thing.

Accepted, with the understanding that if we don't do what we can to advance equalities, we're enabling the inequalities, regardless of the source. This concept applies in general, everyday life, on websites, in the fuckjoints, everywhere. I don't think that we're all perceived as equal - far from it. That doesn't mean that it's too difficult to advance a more enlightened m.o. in our own daily lives; at the grocery store, walking down the street, in the fuckjoints, whenever the opportunity arises. I disagree. We're all equal, and need each other to make a better life for ourselves. Just because one guy is a Top or Dom doesn't inherently make him "better" - it just offers him the opportunity to be more in control. Self perceptions always require an honest, straightforward reflection on identity, which some Tops seem unable to execute deeply very well. The same applies across the board to bottoms. Thanks, Spunkinmyarse. I used to stay at the Art Hotel (I think it was called that), just above Prinzknecht, so it was really convenient. I wonder if that dump of a hotel is still there too. It was cheap, particularly if one was willing to fuck the proprietor - which I wasn't. I think it had been a grand, old apartment building - probably pre-WWII - that escaped the bombing. The "bathroom" consisted of a portable shower w/commode in one corner of what was once a large, probably beautiful room. When the hot water ran dry, you better have been finished, since it took around half an hour to heat up a new batch. But, I couldn't have cared less - I wasn't there for those amenities in the first place.
