Younger guys are complicated.  They often aren't actually single, don't really have permission to play, want to start a relationship rather than stick to being FWBs, or mistake dominance for just being disrespectful.  Older guys tend to be more uncomplicated, lower drama, and understand how to respectfully assert dominance while making sure you're doing ok as a bottom.  I'd say older tops are much better.

Older tops are more experienced, generally know what they want and how to do it.  Sure, I have found tops in their early to mid 20s that were capable and confident.  But generally I find guys who are 35 plus know what they are doing and make the encounter enjoyable.  An argument can be made that guys in their 30s or 40s may have come out later in life may not be experienced.  But I would rather take my chances with them than someone who may have only topped ten to twenty times.
