So this begs another question:  are the private messages available to the bots?  Or are they actually private ..... who (or what), other than the moderators, can access them?

Moderator's Note: I only have access to PMs if I am added to the conversation or someone reports the PM. I have no doubt the admin can see everything, but I cannot troll through your messages on a fishing expedition.
If a bot has access to PMs, it is either part of a bot account or somehow hacking our software - that last point is theoretical; I have never seen that happen.

Because they come down off their high. Tweakers are notorious flakes.

I wouldn’t assume they’re all tweakers, or even using substances, doing something thoughtless. An exposure fetish involves a particular psychological framework, one that may be a more extreme manifestation of Exhibitionistic Disorder, a recognized paraphilia. The expressions of shame and conflicted self-worth and self-image we often see in these cases get combined with a drive for sexual gratification derived from exhibitionism, amplified by the adrenaline rush of high-risk, high-consequence actions. It’s a devil’s brew in the brain that can wear off with the speed of a passing orgasm, with nothing to fill in behind it but horror.

Exhibitionistic Disorder is treatable.

I'm posting again in this topic to remind people, as it seems often to be overlooked:

Anything you post on BZ outside of the Backroom (and a few other protected subforums) is PUBLIC INFORMATION!

It will be indexed by web search engines (like Google) in a matter of days*, and anyone on the internet can find it and view it.

Most of us are fine with that, but please be aware that this is so.

* If you're curious about how long that actually is, I can say for certain that a post in the General Discussion area was indexed this week in less than two days.

This is something which must be reminded every now and then! I'm aware this might be a paradox but, if we want to talk about most intimate subjects in the public forum, we must be anonymous as much as we can, despite we must be conscious that, even with best personal safety precautions, in case of need the cops can find out who, when, and where, whenever they want.

Can I say: this post has come up the front page in the right moment! My bf has been caught by enthusiasm lately, reading some posts about experiences and told me "come on, are you ashamed of talking about us when others even show their genitals and ass around"... He almost managed to convince me, in occasion of his birthday but NO.

Seeing this one and reminding the obvious, I became more determined as before! What's our business, remains our own business! Even good experiences.

I'm a poz talk roleplay author here, and such I want to stay. I know so many victims of blackmail, even minors, everytime I hear a story it's always the first time; every one is different but they have all a common start: "we are intimate now, what's wrong, show me your pic, tell me where you're from, tell me more about you"... F-off.

I have had that happen and I tell then to do what they will and fuck off. They want easy targets who are going to fold fast.  They really don't have time to blackmail you and the other thousand people on their lists.

I have experienced the same thing too and I handled it exactly the same way. They left me alone after I told them to knock themselves out it takes all the power away and shuts the whole thing down

I was chatting with a scammer on Sniffies and we moved to What's App, convo was fun and they were clearly using fake pics and screen shots. Then they wanted like a grand and send me Screenshots of our entire conversation.. I sent them a screen shot of my extremely negative account and they told me "Not worth my time". I laughed a bit too hard.

Always same opinion. PREVENTION.

If I don't want to risk a blackmail, I haven't to let anyone know anything too personal (pics, audio, video, whatever).

A safe computer is the one switched off.

This said, I have nothing against people who prefer to expose themselves; it's NOT their fault if they run some risks, the problem is blackmailers or scammers presence. I would like a better world where I could wear a t-shirt with biohazard, with the text "poz talk liberation" on it. But THIS world is not the one where such action wouldn't have consequences. On and off line.

Well, that was interesting and scary... Easy to find conversations and pics thru a standard Google search. So, no face pics or other revealing things from now on. Thanks for the reminder!

Let me admit I have let you play with me publicly as it turned me (both of us?) on. Such as a roleplay exhibitionist.

But let's bring it in private area from now on, the idea of others turned on by us is hot and we're anonymous but it's better to use more prudence. For our own good.

I have something to admit too... Definitely turned on by/with you! And while I wasn't aware of the level of going public here, it is kind of a turn-on as well... See you on the other side - in private.

Yeah, status messages are public and, having even seen folks posting something nastier there, knowing we are roleplaying I simply let it go.

There is a guy in particular who posted a lot of nasty status messages and he was very erotic I haven't ever talked to him so I had no trouble if someone got hard by reading you and me.

It's this community's purpose, after all; helping each other having sexual fun.

But despite not exchanging personal information, we were poz-talking out of backroom.

It's ironic to me that this post telling us to be careful was the first thing I read this morning when I logged on.

Over the weekend I received an email from a guy demanding $1700 and that it needed to be deposited into some kind of crypto currency account.  He actually started off with  "Hello Pervert" and said he had video of me jerking off to "questionable" pornography.  He said he had access to all my contacts and would send out videos of me, and that I better not go to the "coppers" (that was his word, not mine) or else he would know and all my information would be released.

He gave me the name of where to send it, along with an account number that had to be 50 digits long.  You can't respond, or reply.  Funny thing is, the email went to my junk file and it had a red "blocked" icon next to it, so obviously he had tried this with me before.

I wanted to tell him he was welcome to send out any fake videos he has of me, I don't turn on web cams and jack off to kiddie porn or anything like that.  He said I made my error by clicking on a link and he was able to send a virus through my computer and attach it to my phones and all my other devices.  I highly doubt this.

Has anyone else experienced this lately?  I get the impression, just by the way he worded his email and certain icons he used, that the threat came from Europe or outside the US.  I really am not concerned, but it did come to my main email address that contains my legal name, that was the only thing that alarmed me.

Anyone have a similar experience as of late?
