Since I have hooked up a lot traveling, I find that which type of venue is better varies between cities. My consistent bests have been bathhouses. We do have 2 bathhouses in Portland, but neither one has a very active scene relative to most cities.

For me in Amsterdam the Sauna  is the best for breeding; followed by Dirty Dicks and the Eagle, both clubs.

I’ve had equal success in bathhouses and bookstores, depending on the week.  Sometimes I’ve had back to back to back fucks in both, other time so move waited and waited and waited.  Overall, I’d have to go with bookstores as more quick hookups…

Its not that straightforward though. Saunas for me tend to be more structured. You get signed in, get a locker, drop your belongings into a locker. Its all quite organised. Bookstores are random. Its all about guys dropping a load (or taking one). Nothing to do with the atmosphere. But that doesn't mean you wont find quality at a bookstore, or you wont find quantity at the sauna. But, from my experience (where i am and where i've been) there are certain guys that you will find at the bookstore but never at the sauna. For me book stores edge out bath houses. In bath houses I seem to get fucked a lot but men hold off on breeding. In book stores there are a lot more Hetero men that need to breed. Adult Book Stores are not as active these days with free porn on internet and local laws cracking down on cruising for cock. And Covid changed business hrs of the one's in my area, from 24hrs open to noon to midnight.   Glory holes boarded up as well. but they have active nights.  Bath house are  limited to larger populations.  Hook up apps have taken over for quickies, but they stills have a few fakes posting on there.
