Biktarvy and sun sensitivity

Anyone else on Biktarvy experience extreme sun sensitivity leading to a rash or outbreak on your face?
 

I’ve been on Biktarvy for a few years. Have recently developed extreme sun sensitivity.

Are you taking doxyPEP significantly often? Doxycycline definitely does cause sun sensitivity.

I’ve been on Biktarvy for years and never experienced that.

Keep in mind, you should always discuss this with your doctor, but have you been on any other HIV medications? It's uncommon, but if memory serves correctly, Biktarvy does have a few cases of phototoxic reactions.

HIV itself can cause photosensitivity in approximately 5% of all patients, and can be made worse with drugs such as NSAIDS, sulfonamides, or even pyridoxine (Vitamin B6). 

I would definitely check with your PCP or ID doctor and make sure it isn't a more severe underlying condition.
