    When I started out and did "light experimenting" it was always with a friend but I was also not of age yet (18) and lived in a small town. Sex Clubs and Saunas can be ok for light experimenting but then again most guys going there are gonna want more than that so you could end up in a situation where someone wants to go further than your wanting too. I would post ads online and be up front that way it's out there and you're going to get guys responding that know what they are getting into and thus no awkward situations.     Well I can tell you one thing CA is always on the forefront when comes to laws that protect or help consumers and mandating coverage of PrEP is probably something CA will end up doing along with WA I hope if the insurance companies start playing games with covering it. You should check out the covercalifornia website open enrollment is coming up for the Obamacare plans, which would include medicaid since CA is a state with the expanded medicaid.     I am not sure this is the right place to ask what plans are best because plans are often specific to geographic areas, employers, and stuff like that. So I might have a great plan that covers PrEP here in WA but you can't get this plan over in New York. That is the other thing each state has its own laws mandating coverage that in some cases goes above and beyond Federal laws. You don't list your location in your profile so I can't offer advice for your state. I used to work in insurance for state govt so I am familiar with things. Just would not want you getting info on great plans only to find you can't sign up cause that carrier is not in your state. Group Health in WA is very similar to Kaiser it's an HMO that employs it's network providers, has it's own pharmacies but if your in rural areas where they don't have a Group Health owned clinic they contract with providers you can see same with pharmacies. Group Health and Kaiser both are big on preventive care so PrEP ought to be a no brainer for them to cover.

    Check with your local AIDS health organization unless it's the AHF since they are anti PrEP. But often they know of programs and stuff that you can apply for to get PrEP. Some insurance companies require pre-authorization for Truvada but if you tell your doctor your high rish because say your seeing an HIV poz guy then that should get your covered. I live in WA and found this recently it is a presentation the medicaid pharmacy director made when they were discussing covering PrEP. http://www.hca.wa.gov/pdp/documents/truvada_for_prep.pdf Because of the cost and state budgets being tight I think you might see govt funded insurancew covering it but they will require preauthorization as a means of making sure that it is only being covered for those who really need it or will benefit from it because with the cost it could be looked at down the road by some person who likes to request public records and then review them and ask questions. There are people like that and if they are homophobic this could be a target.
