You know what has know and deadly effects? HIV. No one is saying meds don’t have any side effects, but would you want to be HIV+ right now and not have them as an option? If you say yes you are committing passive suicide. Sorry, you can hate modern medicine and pharma all you want but it’s a fact that medicines have allowed people to live longer better lives.
-
I got to ask you, why don’t you just go to the doctor and eat on meds? As long a you are overall okay now, going on meds is pretty damn easy, and has little to no side effects for most. It’s a much better decision than waiting until things get bad.

A friend has worked in Singapore for about the past 20 years and I suspect there isn’t much leeway. My friend works for one of the largest companies in the world, and he says as long as you play by the rules it’s a fantastic place to live, just don’t ever break them. I suspect unless you’re a very high level employee there wouldn’t be any exceptions for long term stays.

I think this is where guys that chase might have their moment. Once it’s done, it’s over. Sure you can celebrate it but that same thrill will never be there again. Disclosure is something that I’ve very much changed my mind on. I used to always think that if you were hiv+ you should disclose. Now if you’re undetectable I’d says it’s your business. With that said the law might still disagree depending on your location.

A lot of dick will make you sore no matter what. However A larger dose of an nsaid pain reliever like ibuprofen or naproxen sodium will also help during extended sessions. Hydrocortisone cream will help after you are finished to keep swellling down.

Yes, if taken as directed, PrEP is very effective against HVL. I wouldn’t personally do prep on demand with someone with a HVL, but there is also no evidence that it wouldn’t work in that situation as well

Sexual health is important, and while a swollen ass isn’t nessisarily an issue after sex, it’s probably not a bad idea to get it checked out. It may seem embarrassing, but the simple fact is most doctors don’t care and just treat it like any other health problem. You may have internal hemorrhoids, that may need to be removed some day.

I agree, your symptoms sound a lot like mono. The chance of you getting HIV from what you described is almost non existent.

There’s almost no way to accurately answer this question because there are way too many variables to consider. However think of it this way. Receptive anal sex with an HIV+ partner who is not undetectable is know to have approximately a 1-3% chance of infection. However health professionals hate quoting those stats, because even with those stats there are tons of variables, was good lube used, was your adding good health otherwise, did you have any other STI’s, how large was your partner, was it rough, etc. Also assuming you don’t know your partners status, even at the height of the epidemic after testing began, probably 40-50% of guys we’re still negative. Additionally your location matters, some areas had much higher infection rates than others, Further complicating things is that in the late 90’s ARV’s became common and people were becoming undetectable. Because of all of that it’s virtually impossible to know. If I had to guess I would say you would be most likely to be infected from 88-99, if it was going to happen, but even that is a wild guess. Another factor to consider is that despite what some in this forum think, in the late 80’s and even into the early 2000’s, it wasn’t always easy to find guys who would play raw, and if they did it was often only with a partner. Overall my best guess is that you would have had a 50/50 chance of becoming poz, but again that’s a wild guess.

So hot. I’ve had sex in a couple hospitals, always a good time, and easy to find a place as well

Nope, and I have a fairly strict policy against that, and hooking up with people in the building where I live. Too much potential for messy drama. I can deal with it within friends circles, and such, but the last thing I need is a crazy berating me at work saying I gave him an std. same thing goes for harassing me at home. The last one happened to me... not an STD, just a terrible hookup who kept wanting more, and wouldn’t leave me alone. Never again.

Just wanna point something out to some of the guys on here who are looking for “huge bbc’s to dick them down” Most people don’t want to be objectified for one thing. IMO this is especially true for black people, including black MSM. Everyone wants to be treated with respect and that’s esepcially true for a race that has endured centuries of oppression. Not only that, but guess what guys, there are black bottoms out there too. Just like every other race. As for this thread, it’s easy to look up demographics of urban areas.

This will interest a lot of people with access issues https://www.greencrosspharmacy.online/product-page/tenvir-em-3-x-bottles-90-pills-total tenvir-em is the generic version of truvada, made by cipla the world largest drug manufacturer. If you’re in the us you would probably think what? There is no generic version. But, that’s incorrect. Cipla is licensed to make a genaric version for hiv outreach around the world. It just so happens so leaks out to other countries along the way. If I couldn’t afford brand name truvada I’d be buying it online for sure.

This is a good response. And it’s important to remember that anyone puts tons of things in your body that can effect other parts of your health including liver and kidney function. Biggest thing you probably need to do is drink a lot more water. I’d also stay away from most workout supplements. In the US, they are essentially unregulated and many contain compounds that taken in excess are very harmful. Hell GHB was originally a workout supplement legally sold in the US. That’s how crazy the regulation is here. Don’t freak out here though and if you are having a lot of sex, don’t go off prep now. I remember your posts before and you were a wreck with worrying.

H.I.V. Is Reported Cured in a Second Patient
wood replied to rpup's topic in HIV/AIDS & Sexual Health Issues
While this is a remarkable achievement, people are getting a bit too exciting IMO. As others have noted, the procedure to do this is EXTREME, and can be deadly. The Berlin patient for example nearly died during his treatment. It’s also very expensive, and most likely involves other long term harm to the body. However what it does show is that it’s possible to eliminate the viral reservoirs that make HIV currently a chronic condition not a (generally) curable one. IMO, what we may see if the future that could lead to a cure is new drugs that specifically target those reservoirs, this eliminating HIV from the body. I’m all for a cute but there is no chance in hell I’d go through the current procedure if I didn’t have cancer and was just HIV+. The current drugs are way safer than this idea of a potential cure. -
PREP Cumdumps, how many loads still negative?
wood replied to Princealbert69's topic in PrEP Discussion
I’m a prep original. I went on it two months after it was approved in 2012. If I had to guess the number of guys I’d say 400, I wouldn’t have a clue on loads. HIV- HCV- and no current sti’s. I’m sure I have herpes, and many of the HPV variants but I’ve never had an outbreak of either. -
Very well said.

Let’s not get into a discussion about climate change.... When it comes down to it people over the last 100 years overall are living better and longer lives in great part thanks to modern science and medicine, and yes there have been many mistakes. I don’t even disagree with some skepticism. But there is a difference between skepticism and conspiracy theory. I don’t think most people think being on PrEP for 30+ years would be a great idea. However in the shorter term it’s a great tool for harm reduction, because the simple fact is, if you do contract hiv, you will be back on similar drugs for life at this point.
-
There’s also a similar medication out now called caverject. It’s easier to use, because it comes in a reusable pen form kind of like some diabetes medications now. You just change out the tiny needle. Because it’s a localized medication it also wouldn’t have the problem of using it with poppers. https://www.caverject.com/

??♂️ Literally everything in the world can have side effects, or be unsafe. Tylenol can be extremely hazardous if taken in levels that are even moderately above recommended levels. Gross exaggeration about the negative effects of PrEP/Truvada is idiotic. HIV is vastly more dangerous to health than Truvada.
-
Okay let’s get off the conspiracy train here.... As for PrEP, Sorry but the science is in, it works, and the safety of the drugs used in Truvada has been established in 20 years of studies and usage.

Waiting time for an STI screening after taking 18 loads...
wood replied to a topic in HIV Risk & Risk Reduction
Most STI’s will show up within 10 days, so 10 days after is a good time frame. Just like HIV however just because someone else may have something, that doesn’t mean you always get it. -
I agree with the first part, but not the second. There are plenty of very attractive black men in porn, some with large dicks, some with smaller ones. Additionaly I dont want to see segregated anything, including porn. As far as the term BBC is concerned, I'm a white guy the only thing that term means to me is british broadcasting corporation. However there are many men out there of all backgrounds who use the term. The greater issue here is people getting caught up on stereotypes and fantasies, as well as systemic racism. I have said this multiple times on this site because its all over the place. Treat everyone the same, and many of these kind of problems go away. As a tangent to the OP, Id love to see more black bottoms in porn having sex with men outside their race. One guy I know who does it, and is VERY attractive is phoenix fellington. https://www.pornhub.com/pornstar/pheonix-fellington

What to do if you can’t take Prep and hate Condoms?
wood replied to a topic in HIV/AIDS & Sexual Health Issues
My only issue with this mentality is that if you can’t take prep because of kidney issues, taking many HIV medications would also be out f the question if you become positive. there is hope though if you can wait a bit longer. The different formulation of tenofovir in a medication called descovy is in trials now to be used as prep. The main advantage is that it has much fewer side effects compared to truvada. Other medications are also being studied as truvada alternatives for prep. I would probably think of your situation like this, how much. Would HIV complicate your life? You need to be able to answe that before anything else
