  1. I concur with all of that. And the host really is a superb guy.
  2. Same here. I love Andrew Christian briefs.
  3. I’ve not been to the specific weekend, but the PA is a fabulous hotel and I can really recommend it.
  4. What an great topic - and so relatable. Last October, I was invited to a birthday party in Manchester with a World War II theme. I opted for a Royal Air Force uniform because it’s always been “a thing” for me ever since childhood. The uniform - an officer’s obvs - included a genuine WWII cap. The moment I put it on I felt bloody marvellous - and looked it (I know you saw the pictures, @AirmaxUK). As you say, I basked in the masculinity of that uniform. And of those who’d worn it before me. Maybe it even held on to the remnants of their spirits. Who knows? Even more interestingly, was the reaction of others. After the party, I deliberately walked back through the gay village to my hotel. I’m not usually one to turn heads in the gay village (though not stomachs either, I hope) but on this occasion I was like a Snickers bar thrown over the wall of a fat camp. All eyes were on me and a couple of drag queens pulled me into a bar for a drink. It was quite extraordinary. Did it get me laid that night? I leave that to your imaginations. Naturally, I didn’t want to take the damned thing off!
  5. How did I miss this one when reading your blogs? Wonderfully and vividly described.
  6. Think I’m long overdue a return to SOP…
  7. I couldn’t possibly comment… 😜
  8. “Trade” and “dealer” sound like things you might encounter on some hook up sites, too. Definite parallels…
  9. I’d venture into a vacant property with either/both of you…
  10. I’ve tried to think of something similar in my working life that can compare. Nope. Nothing comes remotely close… alas…
  11. I aim to please. In every sense…
  12. I’m impressed you got A Christmas Carol and (Our) Mutual Friend in the same sentence. The thought of Bob Crachit nailing Scrooge made me hoot with laughter. I just hope the chems didn’t leave either of you with a Tiny Tim… But if you ever need an authentic British accent, well, just saying…
  13. Funnily enough, I was watching a YouTube channel last week about some Brits who’ve relocated to Florida and learned about the roof thing. At first, I thought I’d misheard.
  14. Late to the party but I love your posts and now intend to work through your blogs, which I know I’ll enjoy. Gets me in the mood for future visits to NYC…
  15. I met a guy years ago in Greenwich, London who was exactly like that. My initial reaction was identical to yours. But then I realised it was how he got his jollies, so I met him a few times - mainly because he was quite hot. I used the money to pay my phone bill because younger guys, now able to use apps, have no idea how expensive those bloody chat lines were back in the day.
  16. Wouldn’t we all…? 😆
  17. I go several times a week. Weights, followed by swimming (my gym is attached to a hotel and we can use the pool).
  18. I have known it to be. In fairness though, I’ve not been there as much since the Great Plague, so it might have changed. But I have been knee-deep in cock down there in the past.
  19. Like Hampstead Heath on a busy summer night. So busy, I’ve seen fast food vans sometimes setting up outside the entrances to the pathways leading down into the darkness…
  20. I’ve made contact with a couple of really great BZ members individually on Telegram but haven’t really come across any groups. Someone did add me to one once - I can’t now recall what it was - but it was a tad dull.
  21. It goes without saying to keep your passport, money etc secure. I’ve never felt unsafe down there but there have been occasional reports of muggings. That awareness goes for London as a whole. In fact, I feel safer in New York than I do in London these days.
  22. I’ve reached the age where their ability to stand unaided and having their own teeth* will do. *Negotiable.
  23. The train into Kings Cross takes an hour, then the Northern Line on the Underground to Hampstead. Getting there should be no problem for you. Getting back is a greater challenge if you’re doing it by train, unless you spend all night there and wait for the Tube/trains to start running again. I have done that in the past. It’s knackering but the Heath can still be active at 4am…
  24. Bad dubbing. Sorry, but I just want to laugh when I hear “Yeah… yeah… oh yeah! Give it to me…” “You want that…?” “Yeah… (moan)…” when it’s clearly been overlaid onto the visuals.
