    Thanks @NWUSHorny; a flaw in my left/right thinking. Truly better to refer to parties by name, D vs R as left/right is contextual. What frustrates me most about Republicans these days is that they think they are very clever when they assert that border issues are the fault of the Democrats. The fault IMO lays at whomever is blocking presently; which is the Republicans. It exposes the worst elements of "politics" when viewed in derisive terms. We collectively hired these people to craft and pass legislation, and to ensure a smooth running nation. Rather than do that our politicians fuck us; the people who elected them. This feels very much like what I felt in the 1960's as a coming of age young man. It felt as though our society was breaking apart. We had growing frustration about the ill advised Viet Nam conflict; Significant scientific breakthroughs starting (organ replacement, Polio finally contained; The Bomb....; atrocities of our military against citizens aka Kent State. In short order in the 70's us queers asserting ourselves, Nixon debacle, And now we have large numbers of our fellow citizens believing utter falsehoods by one historically corrupt politician. And that boggles my mind. The man would never pay us if he hired any of us to get something done for him. And yet one supports that? Wants that behavior in our chief executive?

    I affectionately refer to our president as "Grandpa Joe". I am glad he leaned into his age last night. It isn't his youth; there are plenty of staff to manage the heavy lifting. Political finesse is still relevant and Grandpa Joe has that in spades. The "worst case scenario" isn't so bad either; that being that if our president dies Veep Harris takes over. Not my first choice but I am confident she will do a good enough job at least, and we might be pleasantly surprised and reelect her. WRT the SOTU; he did quite well. Stumbled over some words; but honestly how many of us would stand there and never stumble over words. If that is the metric we're using the Orange dictator gives master class lessons on stumbling over words; malapropisms. The Republican response only needed rain, sad music and puppies added. I listened to the whole thing; but man it is frustrating when they are actively blocking a solution to the problem they are trying to lay at Grandpa Joe's feet. Obvious bullshit like that is simply offensive.

    Honestly I don't think publicly Christian Nationals support porn, they just want to limit it to "their porn". Privately I think more porn is funded by Christian Nationals than anyone is going to admit.

    It has been while, and to be honest, I am not sure I would notice them all that well; but are trail cams used by the park service very much? Are we really not being watched in our park system? It's been a few years now since I've had sex along the trail. Trails these days are no longer the rarely used resource I could enjoy and never see anyone else all day. When I started trail sex back in the 1960's our population was notably smaller. When I was in middle/high school we lived adjacent to a huge county forest preserve and outside of doing chores, I enjoyed my hikes and my pleasurable outdoor jackoff. In my later twenties once I got more established as an adult with my own home and job humming along well I really enjoyed trail sex with buddies (along with the occasional blowjob while driving on the freeway). Nowadays; cameras have become ubiquitous and thus any notion there aren't eyes on me goes away once I head out my door. When I walked my nomination papers around last December more than half the houses now have doorbell cameras. I have neighbors who put up trail cams to see what's going on around their property. Our mobile phone photos are geolocated and are likely in the public cloud.

    Damn, that is Sad. We used to chat quite often here; but never were able to piece together common time to play even though we were just a couple hours apart.

    Technically yes as "undetectable" doesn't mean our jizz is free of any virus. Detectable as a metric has changed over the years as the sensitivity of tests has improved. So now it means <20 copies per ml. Could it be zero copies in our semen? Maybe. Bottom line in now several repeat studies there have been no transmissions within serodiscordant couples even when "undetectable" was <200 copies per ml. Nothing is without risk. Even the guy neg on PrEP; especially with the rather sloppy way PrEP is being dispensed these days. There are way too many fellows on PrEP who haven't tested in years; and whose compliance is spotty.

    While I will sometimes ask when there seems to be an extended break, @Jaygusher is a reliable and talented author. As @kspozcum pointed out, none of our authors here are paid to write. Us readers who appreciate these great stories I hope keep the authors well aware we appreciate their talent and time.

    At least here in Wisconsin; I sort of view bookstores and bathhouses in the same context; paid places you can go have anonymous sex with less police interference than parks, rest stops, etc. I am unware any remain anywhere in Wisconsin. To some extent this is social pressure, a subset of that being disinterest. Meeting places for men wanting sex with men have shifted to online. Even Gay Bars have thinned out considerably here. Honestly I really miss that form of meeting other guys. Online comes often with filters so that one starts by limiting to specific attributes before the first "hi". Physically we didn't have that "dossier" on the guy we saw across the room; and thus we had to learn to meet with and get to know each other before we discovered he was a closet axe murderer. 🙂 TBH I chose that reference as it is I hope the worst case scenario. But on the plus side; we got to know each other by conversation rather than profiles. In my opinion this is one very influential cause of much of our social polarization.

    Indeed, in primaries I typically vote for the one I want; although I've found myself voting for "least worst" in primaries at times as well.

    I certainly don't understand shaming or otherwise castigating someone for herpes. It is pretty ubiquitous. I control mine with thrice daily acyclovir. Inexpensive and effective at managing outbreaks. Compared to my HIV it is nothing I fret.

    I believe what "woke" lacks is a common definition. Honest I thought that is what I did with my husband each morning. I woke him.... Words which mean anything to anyone; or are meaningful in a panoply of narrow context have no meaning at all. I've tended to interpret (I am not attempting to make a definition here) it as somewhat equivalent as "aware". Perhaps this accounts for some of the social strife we experience. We are disappointed when our fellows don't know what we mean when we use a word whose definition is, at best, vague. My bad habit which has developed as a result is that I tend to tune out the words when words like that begin to appear. I am not going to pretend to be Carnack the magician (of Johnny Carson fame). I think the only reasonable approach is to ask the speaker what they mean when they use words like this. To me "woke" is a verb.

    Left off at them just getting to the seedy venue (I am certain a poz event). Debate in my head about how I hope this unfolds. On one had, I like the idea of uncle infecting nephew. On the other hand; the surety of pozzing after dozens of viral loads is also attractive. For certain I hope this continues until nephew gets his poz diagnosis. And I could imagine him and uncle breeding a few after. That would be the total transition for the nephew, and a completion where his dad never went.
