kitpig Posted April 25, 2021 Report Posted April 25, 2021 I had the first shot in early March and (im)patiently waiting for the second... I can't wait to get back to taking loads ;)

Recommendation from AZ and our version of the CDC I believe. No idea what gives the best protection. We'll just have to go with what they recommend. Not much choice tbh. Same in the U.K. efficacy is no different.

A first dose in March with the second three weeks from now (depending on exactly when in March and whether it's 3 full weeks from today) could be outside that recommended timeframe. And if anything happens to delay that appointment, that might compromise the protection they provide. In the UK, the government opted for a twelve week interval to allow more people to be vaccinated asap. The plummeting infection and death rates here appear to suggest it was the correct call. I had my first AZ shot 11th February and have my second on Friday - less than a week before the 12 week deadline was up. 1
nekofox Posted April 25, 2021 Report Posted April 25, 2021 Had my first shot earlier this month, going to have my second next month, so I'm definitely awaiting to see how it goes for me. Thankfully, nothing major happened with the first shot, other than having a sore arm and feeling tired.
Guest xsodomyx Posted April 25, 2021 Report Posted April 25, 2021 Put it like this: If you're not scared to bareback knowing all of the risks, you shouldn't be scared of what's in the vaccine.
chargedodger Posted April 25, 2021 Report Posted April 25, 2021 second shot phizer admined on fri.sore arm and headache.tylenol was all that was needed.worked full day.
BruxoCub Posted April 26, 2021 Report Posted April 26, 2021 It's been 2 weeks and a day since my 2nd Pfizer shot. The first dose made me a bit brain fogged and sore for a few days and a couple of night sweats. The 2nd shot gave me minimal side-effects, maybe a day or two of a little lethargy. I'm ready for some Vaxxx on Vaxxx shenanigans! I can't wait until I'm comfortable to hit up sex clubs and/or group parties again, but until then - baby whore steps. 1
amsrat Posted April 26, 2021 Report Posted April 26, 2021 Had my first AZ shot today. Didn't hesitate for a second. 1
120DaysofSodom Posted April 27, 2021 Report Posted April 27, 2021 Was vaccinated with the second dose of Pfizer on Christmas Eve 2020 because im a healthcare worker that works on a medical respiratory ICU where almost all of the patients admitted to our unit are COVID+. You do not want to be intubated because youre unable to protect your airway, and even when you recover, desat just standing up out of bed to sit in a chair. Not at all a pleasant sight. I myself only had a slight reaction to the second dose; just some minor headaches and fatigue for two days is all. I am HIV+ and exposed to COVID+ patients every single day that are on airborne precautions and I still have not caught COVID. The vaccine works. Get it. 3 1
HotLoads Posted April 27, 2021 Report Posted April 27, 2021 Fortunately, I got both of my doses. I had the Moderna. Only had a very sore arm for the first dose, nothing on the second. Two of my co-workers got their 2nd dose and both had the tiredness, chills, sweating for about 24 hours then it was over. Small price to pay instead of contracting the virus and having to be hospitalized. My mom just got her first dose, age 80 and didn't even have a sore arm. Goes to show how different everyone reacts to it.
Ocelot2000 Posted April 27, 2021 Report Posted April 27, 2021 Fully Vaccinated. tomorrow will be one full month since my second Pfizer shot! 1
barefootboy Posted April 27, 2021 Report Posted April 27, 2021 I have had both shots and was happy to get them. I was lucky in that I had no problems or side effects with either shot. I look forward to venturing out for some hot sexual encounters. 1
ohmccoy Posted April 27, 2021 Report Posted April 27, 2021 I get my second Pfizer shot in Thursday. Hopefully no side effects and I can start making up for lost time by the weekend!
