I've read around on this site for a little while now, wanted to join and share some of my own experiences and how I got into bareback sex. It’s a progression.  I went from only going bare with long term partners, then in 2013 to guys I new were neg or undetectable, then after a few years to bare only but with guys who answered the status question right and eventually a few years  ago to not asking status at all.  Raw feels way better and there is a sense of more intimacy with the top.

Oh I agree totally! I took a lot of time to progress to bareback, but now that I've done it, i always prefer raw unless the top specifically wants to use condoms. You're so right about intimacy with the top as well!

Yes it took me a while too...
Now I only want raw. Condoms feel terrible and I would rather not get fucked.
I never bring up the subject and most of the time I get what I want... a raw cock up my ass and a load deep inside.
I still use Prep, but I'm not very diligent in taking it. The fear is almost completely gone. Most tops, if they are HIV+ are undetectable.

Same here.  When I first started getting fucked I was afraid and always used condoms.  Then I tried bareback and now I never ask a guy to wear a condom or pull out.  And I refuse no dick or load.

When friends would make jokes at me about always playing safe etc they used to hype up bareback and part of me used to think 'yeah whatever I bet it's not all that different'. However, I was obviously incredibly wrong and I'm annoyed at how long it took me to switch to bareback lol!
