You will be fine, but you got to relax a bit, and think about some other stuff. If you workout, its a great time to do so. If not, its a great time to take it up. When I am feeling lost I go for a long run or bike ride. Online resources are great, but eventually getting out in the real world will help more. As for on here, gather your thoughts and then post concise threads if you have them. This forum can be slow sometimes so if omeone doesnt respond right away that doesnt mean they are not going to, it just may take a few days. You are not going anywhere, a few days for an answer may seem like an eternity right now, but later it will seem like nothing.

Dude lied about his status and bred me
wood replied to power0459's topic in HIV/AIDS & Sexual Health Issues
He shouldnt have lied, but you saying you "used the resources availiable to me" also makes me think you did something improper, Which I also cant condone. If the guy is undetectable his is very low risk to you. It also sounds like you should be a on PrEP so you dont worry. I am, and never worry about sex with undetectable guys, topping or bottoming. -
Interesting. I would hope that for the OP PrEP would keep the Hep B from taking hold. With that said, you NEED to go see your doc and get vaccinated for HEP A/B. its a series of three shots IIRC, or it was when I had it. When I started PrEP they also did a blood test to see how much immunity I had to Hep B, since I had the Vaccine over 10 years ago. Mine was still strong, but you can get a booster shot if it has become weaker. HEP B can be cured, but its a bitch if you get it, and like nymanhole, some people remain carriers for life. It can also be spread much more easily than HIV, and unlike HEP C, it is present in semen.

You are in a foreign country that is not first world, its very common for guys or girls to want money for sex if you are not a local. Happens all over the place.
-
Well without knowing you, but what you have aid in here so far, you probably do talk too much about feelings. If you want to be friends and FB's those have to go away. Its more fucking then, okay I gotta go. No kissing or hugging goodbye, etc. FB's are not BF's and you need to talk all the BF stuff away if thats what its gonna be. It sounds like you brought many of the BF behavioral tendencies into the FB relationship, and you cant do that.

This is pretty much it. Its essentially "slut shamming" Ive been active in a group for PrEP advocacy, and this has been a constant issue for many people involved. The good news is that most people when they hear about it are genuinely curious and want to know more. the bad is that there still are people trying to shame people based many times on false notions about their sex life, and taking a great step in protecting themselves.

Same here. While people mean well with videos like this, I would bet they actually cause more infections. A much more realistic video would be a guy meeting another guy at a bar, going home, not having condoms, but the guy saying he is neg, and its okay, and then they have consensual sex. New guy becomes clingy, so more seasoned guy stops seeing him. Sometime later new guy tests poz, and confronts seasoned guy, who gets tested and also finds out he is poz, but didnt know. That story isn't nearly as nearly as dramatic, but is much more realistic. As for the first time fuck getting pozzed. while its not likely, it actually isnt as uncommon as you think if the top is poz. Its REALLY easy to tear a guy who has never had anal sex before, and that can easily lead to infection. When I was doing outreach I talked to two teens who were both pozzed the first time they got fucked. Again, is it common? no, but a guy who can easily stretch, and isn't clenching is much less likely to have microtears and fissures.

Just have some drinks before you go out. Seriously. My one ex HATED going out, but you get a few drinks in him, and he would capitulate, then once he was out he would have a good time. Obviously Alcohol can also cause problems if abused, but its a great social lubricant If you just want dick, go get it at a bathhouse, but it sounds like you NEED more social interaction.

Bingo. All of my relationships that have "worked" happen when you least expect them. I almost feel that the people looking for relationships are destined for failure.
-
Its sounds like you were never over the relationship portion to begin with. I've been in your situation before, and looking at it again later, I can definitely say thats what happened to me. Even right now with what you type, you are complaining about relationship based things, not friend based things. A lot of friends have "drama" but they dont let it rule the interaction because they are just friends. You say you just like him sexually but everything you have typed says otherwise. If he was just a "FB" it would be much easier to let him go. However, he isnt. You were, and are still emotionally invested in him. Personally I would stay away from a while. Its one of the only things that really helps in situations like this. Maybe you guys will become close again one day, you never know, but I very much doubt it will happen in the next six months. You both need space to grow and breath.

HEP C is a much more robust virus, but it also isnt easily transmitted sexually. You need blood to blood contact for HEP C transmission, While it can be transmitted during regular sex, its more often done in situations involving fisting, etc. Personally I dont understand the used condom thing. Even as someone who loves raw sex, I find sticking a used condom up your ass to be rather gross. Just get the nut fresh, its not that hard to do.

most reviews I have saw have been generally positive. However this one wasn't, and I liked it the best. http://america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2014/5/probing-larry-kramersnormalheart.html

HIV Conspiracy??? Has anyone heard this crap?
wood replied to VersatileBreeder's topic in HIV/AIDS & Sexual Health Issues
This is also very true, Gilead is doing so well partially because of all its acquisitions. IM getting conflicting reports but I am seeing 2021 patent expiration for truvada, which means it would have been extended from the original 2017 date. -
urban dictionary is your friend for all slang. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Slamming with that said you never want to do it. want HEP C, HIV, and all sort of possible diseases that will kill you? inject drugs.

HIV Conspiracy??? Has anyone heard this crap?
wood replied to VersatileBreeder's topic in HIV/AIDS & Sexual Health Issues
I agree and disagree, and heres why. There is often boatloads of cash in cures too, look at gaurdisil as a vaccine, or solvaldi, which is Gileads new blockbuster Hep C drug. Its 90% effective at curing Hep C, but guess what? The price of Solvaldi is quoted in various media sources as $84,000 to $168,000 for a course of treatment in the U.S. HIV is another GREAT example. If someone could CURE HIV today, great. Make it cost 100k, and get those people off their meds, but it wont stop the people that dont know they are infected from infecting other people, and so they still have a revolving business model. Put it bluntly there is big money in drugs, but its not these kind of drugs that make the most money, its stuff like viagra... That made billions. -
really unless you are a doctor or nurse and can reliably diagnose yourself, DONT!!! Go make a visit, and do it right.

All the popular (stibild, complera, atripla) one a day treatments have a truvada component to them (FTC/Tenofovir) So really you are not changing up your regime in terms of what you are taking all that much. The main downside to Atripla is its Efavirenz component. Efavirenz, marketed on its own as Sustiva is a relatively old drug, with some fairly significant Psychiatric symptoms. With that said, its still highly effective, which is why its still used after many other drugs have been developed, or failed in testing. Complera has been shown to be just as effective and substitutes the Efavarienz component of Atripla with Rilpivirine, also known on its own as Edurant. This gives an overall lower side effect profile. It is of note that Complera has been shown to be less effective in first line treatment when viral loads are over 100k. Obviously this doesn't apply to you, but it is important to note for anyone starting treatment. Stribild has also been shown to be just as effective and substitutes the Efavarienz compent of Atripla with elvitegravir/cobicistat. In this case Elvitegravir is the ingrese inhibitor and it is boosted by cobicistat. What your doctor is trying to do is keep you on the same basic regamine, but eliminate the side effects of efavirenz. Its up to you if this is a problem for you. Some people are fine with efavirenz, and other people have horrible side effects. While it may seem like a big switch, you are really not changing 2/3 of your regemine, which is the Truvada or FTC/Tenofovir portion of your treatment. Doctors usually only want to switch to completely different drugs if they have stopped working or there is significant benefits to well being, side effects, etc. If I was in your shoes I don't think i would switch at all. There will be more combination therapies coming that may be just as effective. Its also important to remember that you are only five years in, so depending on how old you are you may still be on treatment for a very long time. I think because of that I would go with the "if its not broke don't fix it" mentality. the other reason is that if you can tolerate the side effects efavirenz is EXTREMELY effective. Thats one of the reasons it is still used so often despite newer medications being available. With that said I am not a doctor, and your decision should be made by you, and your doctor.

So without going into tons of details, I was in Chicago this past weekend for IML, and ended up doing a few things I NEVER thought I would. I will say that its very possible I was exposed to STI's based on just the activities that were taking place. Exposure would have been all over, oral, anal, genital. I'm on PrEP, so not too worried on that side of things, but I am curious about the other things. (syphilis, etc) I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, and figure I might as well treat this asap. Any other thoughts on the issue? Cant say I regret any of it. It was a crazy fun weekend and I enjoyed every moment, but sadly, its time to go back to reality.

I'm gonna watch it later this week. I saw it was coming out last week, but I was in Chicago for IML this weekend. Lets just says I did things there I NEVER thought I would do Because of that I am not really in the mood for such a film right now and am going to wait a few days until I watch it.
