I'd assume the less case count for Descovy is due to the fact that is less prescribed regularly. I've been on Descovy for a bit and always wondering how effective really is. Also, the numbers for cabotegravir/apretude are not that great (compared to Truvada/Descovy). 7 cases when adherence is not an issue. I guess for those who can't do oral adherence much better than nothing.

The illegality of poppers/pot in spain in public venues and street was established with the "Ley de proteccion de seguridad ciudadana" in 2015 by the conservative party (PP). It's supposed to be valid nationwide but enforcement was unheard of or very rare. It's definitely province dependent with Madrid taking it more serious than other places. Catalonia/Canary Islands/Andalucia is simply not enforced or selectively enforced. In Madrid, during the pandemic, police had tons of fun raiding normal gay bars and saunas multiple times per week. It's been gross. Sauna Octopus, where older mature can be found, was routinely raided and many older folks got fined just for popper use. The cops rush in the sauna and force everyone to come out and check one by one locker's to see if they got anything. Same process in bars, a bunch of cops rush in screaming "nobody move!" so no one tosses drugs on the floor. then everyone is searched and patted individually. Madrid is tilking heavily conservative lately and really dislike gay stuff. Govmnt entities, including police, feels it's their duty to enforce dumb laws like this one. Also during pandemic, police was just bored and didn't have anything better to do, This was a great way to pass time for them.

I'm sort of local to Madrid and I've done most of these sites you mention many times over The best places without any kind of doubt to get loads are: * Dark room of Sauna Octopus. Afternoons 4-8pm. A big BUT. It's technically illegal to be in possesion of poppers and marihuana (and more) in the "public way" or "public venues" in Spain. That includes bars, saunas and the street. It's a 600 euro fine for first offence. If you are a foreigner it's fine as it's unenforceable for them. But I've heard of plenty of cases where they've got the fine in the mail. The only place where I've heard any kind of enforcement of this law is in Madrid where the police does sauna raids and sometimes even regular bars just for fun. This is true. No one knows how effective is Jynneos in real life. All the vaccine studies are animal studies and the 85% efficacy is "estimated" from analysis of their lab results. It would have been impractical to do real world studies for such a rare pathogen. I guess we are about to find out if it works or not.

Chickenpox has an R0 of >10 so its a lot more contagious. It's been 2+ months of MP already and the few cases outside gay population seem to have stopped there. 95-99% of cases in gay population so far is a pretty telling statistic. Forget air transmission, and probably very diminished/unlikely surface transmission. Seems the way for MP is direct skin to skin contact with a lesion. Sex is the perfect way to pass it on, and with the number of partners gay men have a route for MP to take off.

I think this is going to stay mainly a gay thing. Given the short window virus has for infection, about two weeks, you need serious network effects to keep it going. Finally got my PCR results back and they are interesting. Not sure if this is common, but I got one PCR test for every single lesion. I had about 10, but we stopped at 7. Some of the lesions were earlier ones (the white flat phase), had not burst and seemed innocuous. All of the 7 PCRs came back positive for MP. So innocent looking ones could be infectious too.

This happened to me too with my MP infection. Exactly as you describe. There was a bump inside my hole, I thought it was a hemorroid from so much fucking or something. But as time passed shitting was more and more difficult, and started to see blood in my stool. Eventually it all went away and got resolved, at least feeling wise.
