Anyone have any non-sexual New Year's resolutions or goals for 2018?
1) As a PhD student, I want/need to focus more on my research and treat it as a job (like I should've been doing all along) so I can make progress towards graduation.
2) Like everyone else, I want to be healthier physically - which means being more aware of what I'm eating and trying to get more exercise than just walking to and from my car on campus.
3) As much as I enjoy being on the apps and this website, I want to nurture more in-person friendships and relationships.

I'll be down in the Fort Lauderdale area June 11-14. Unfortunately I may be with family (sister and nephew) for most of the time, and I won't have a rental car (I plan on using Uber if needed). So...Amtrak had a sale and Hotwire prices were good, so I just booked holiday travel through Chicago on the train instead of a direct drive to my family. I'll be in Chicago and looking for fun both of these weekends!

Anyone else having issues with Grindr? I'm using it on an iPhone and it is just incredibly slow to type any messages, load messages, scroll through the guys, etc...and it seems to be draining my phone's battery at an alarming rate. Other apps are working just fine...it's just Grindr. I'm not seeing anything else online about people complaining right now...there was a recent update I think.

Coming up to Chicago on Oct. 5th for the Blackhawks game with a friend. I will definitely be staying overnight that night (will have a hotel room to myself, likely in the loop). I'm still debating on whether I will stay additional nights as well. If not, I'll be looking to play during the day on Thursday Oct 5th and during the day on Friday Oct 6th before my train back to Indiana. Obviously if I stay more nights, then I'll have more time to fuck around as well....

Update: staying in a hotel near the Hancock Tower Thursday and Friday nights. Only plans so far are the Blackhawks game Thurs night, the symphony concert on Friday afternoon (1:30pm start). Nothing else until the train home on Saturday evening.

Diagnosed with syphilis today. Don't know from who or when, of course. Got my shots and doc said to wait 2 weeks before any sexual contact. Is that what others have been told? Usually it's a week for most infections.

I tested positive for syphilis and feel lucky that has been only I received from topping or bottoming. Syphilis was topping which I do more often. I'm not on PrEP and asked about it. Doctors have told me just practice safe sex.

I looked around online and most sites say "abstain while the sores/chancres are still present", which they say could be 1 or 2 weeks. My doc said the severity (titer test) of my infection was fairly low, so I'm hoping it clears out sooner than later. I've been really horny lately too, go figure. LOL

Got the email today that my recent PrEP testing came back with no issues (no STDs, blood/liver levels are good). I'm a little surprised, as I thought for sure I had picked something up recently, but happy with the good news. Now it just makes me want to go to a bathhouse on this holiday Monday and get some ass!
