So may people seem to think that the democratic party is the solution to all problems. Then things like this happen and you can see the true colors come to the surface. As a minority myself, I refuse to allow the democrats to exploit me for votes or sympathy. I don't need the government to "prop me up", I'm capable of doing just fine by myself, thank you.

Back in the 60's and 70's, the black community has a mentality of "we shall overcome". Advance 50 years and now they, along with many other minorities, have become "victims" of everyone and everything and have been trained to become dependent on the government to solve their problems, which we all know will never happen. White people are encouraged to "hate themselves because of their privilege". Critical race theory further induces people to believe the odds are already stacked against them, thus making them further dependent on the government for assistance. I think it's sad so many democrats choose to wake up every morning, run to their liberal news sources such as CNN and MSNBC (which, by the way, are falling faster in the ratings than a penny dropped from the Eiffel tower, while Fox news soars - that alone should tell you something) and find something new to be angry about that day. If you want to live your life in a continuous spiral of misery and victim-hood, that's your choice. Keep tuning into CNN and keep finding new reasons to be angry and miserable and keep believing the propaganda you're being fed, and keep hoping the democrats will solve your problems. Or, you can choose to get off that roller coaster and start living a more happy and productive life.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe Republicans feel the same way about your set of "facts" that you do about theirs? And as to facts, what I see on here is mostly opinion, completely lacking of factual support. I'd love to see more provable facts on here before people voice their opinions or echo back what they've been told without doing any of their own investigation.

Will you make sure that this rule applies to members of both political parties? I've seen plenty of false information posted by democrats on here as well. If the goal is to ensure that only factual information is posted, the the rule should be applied equally to both sides.

Just an FYI - about 5% of the population is not treatable for Hep-C, for various reasons. The treatment doesn't take for some people, and they end up taking multiple treatments at once to try to clear the virus. If you abuse drugs and/or alcohol and have suffered cirrhosis of the liver, you may not be a good candidate for treatment either. Co-infection with HIV and concurrent HIV treatment can also lead to significant liver damage and/or added side effects of the medications. Ask your doctor if you find yourself in this situation because certain Hep-C medications work better with certain HIV medications. Don't just let your doctor put you on a HEP-C drug without doing your homework first.

I'm not in Florida, but I've had the vaccine and didn't suffer any side effects from it whatsoever. Then suddenly one time my GFR dropped by about 15% and my creatinine had gone from 1.24 to 1.43. They considered anything lower than 1.30 to be normal. They sent me for blood work again another test 30 days later and it had dropped again, this time my creatinine was at 1.46. We waited again for 30 days and then tested again, now it was at 1.54. I was referred to a nephrologist and he pulled me off of every medication I was taking, including my blood pressure medication for 30 days, and had me tested again after another 30 days, and my creatinine had dropped back down to 1.38 from 1.54, still over normal but much better. He had my doctor switch me to a kidney friendly regiment and over the next few months my kidney function improved but the best it got was a creatinine level of 1.33, still above normal. Since then my creatinine has bounced around between 1.33 and 1.40. The doctor told me I had suffered some damage and its likely I'll have sensitivity to certain medications (like NSAID's) and some foods or food additives that will cause it to swing. They sent me to a nutritionist to tell me what things I should avoid that can affect the kidneys and I do my best to avoid them. We pulled my medical records before i started the Truvada and my creatinine was 0.85.

These are indeed legitimate concerns. Another long-term consideration for antibiotics like Doxycycline is long-term damage to your kidneys. This is true of all of the antibiotics in the tetracycline family. Long term use is discouraged in people with chronic kidney disease. If you're on Prep that includes Truvada, you're already risking kidney disease as a side effect. I can tell you from my own personal experience that the damage starts to come on fast. I was on Truvada for about five years when I suddenly started experiencing a continued decline in kidney function. I was sent to a nephrologist and he quickly took me off of Truvada. My kidney function recovered somewhat but never returned to normal. I was put on a Prep routine that was much more kidney friendly and my kidney function has been stable, but I never fully recovered from the damage that had been done. If you're on Truvada, my advice is to watch your kidney function carefully. Once the damage is done, you seldom recover from it.

I don't understand why you want so hard to press to hear from a Republican perspective. It's as if you're implying that you can't be gay and a Republican, or that you can't be a Republican and believe in the right to abortion, or hold some other belief that may not be widely accepted in the gay community. We have many of the political disagreements today because everyone is so focused on sorting people based on their belief system, labeling them, and then scorning them if their belief system doesn't match their own. Where's the "inclusion" if everyone is so busy finding ways to "exclude" everyone?? It's like sorting people into "binary" and "non-binary". The very act of doing so creates yet another binary system. So may people fail to think for themselves and develop their own value system that they blindly follow others who tell them what their value system should be and adopt beliefs that they've never questions or examined, or even bothered to think thru the logic of them (or lack of logic in many cases) nor have they stopped stopped to think about the long-term effect of those positions on society as a whole.
