You say this as if you're surprised. Have you read some of the stuff people post in the other forums on this site? There are people out there who are into stealthing. With Prep the biggest problem is kidney disease that sneaks up on you. I had that happen about year five on prep when my kidney function suddenly started a rapid decline. Was sent to a nephrologist who took me off all of the medication I was on for a month and then tested me again, and my kidney function started to make a rebound. Went back every two weeks for more bloodwork and kidney function continued to improve. We determined it was the Prep. I was put on a regiment that was more kidney friendly (and more costly) and although I did suffer some kidney damage, I recovered most of the loss. The doctor told me it wasn't uncommon for this to happen years later and it wasn't uncommon for it to happen quickly, especially on Truvada, so keep an eye on your numbers. -

I don't have a problem with older guys. What i have a problem with is older guys who try to fool themselves into think they're still in their 20's and still as hot as they used to be. I see more of them striking out than the guys who accept themselves as they are. You can botox your face but you're still going to look the same age "with a botox face". The same with telling plastic surgery. All it looks like is someone older trying to pull off someone younger. You're not fooling anyone but yourself. The most attractive older guys to me are the guys who are living their age, not trying to live as if they're years younger when they're really not. And if you're using meth in your 50's and 60's, that's not hot, that's just a problem, and not an attractive problem.

Your chances should be about as close to zero as you can get. The science has already proven that undetetable people don't transmit the virus. And even if you did get the virus from him, the viral load would be extremely low at best because he's undectable and your PREP is designed to handle untreated people as well as those spreading it because they don't know they have it. I'd say you're safe.

If you've read thru many of the posts in the forum, I think you'll see that there are many people here who walked away with a net positive experience from their early start. I don't think that it's fair to pass judgment on their own thoughts and feelings about their experiences, or expect that they have to share the same draconian sexual views on this topic that we have here in the United States when in other countries these practices are normal and routine, and those people live a perfectly well-adjusted life. I think we do a lot of people a disfavor when we tell them they are supposed to be traumatized instead of letting them decide if it was traumatic for them on their own.
