  1. I agree. There are some that are close, but this series is a masterpiece. It is well-written, with a consistent storyline that doesn't contradict earlier chapters. The use of a relatively small core of characters, with a number of others rotated in and out as appropriate, keeps the story grounded yet always different.
  2. That's quite a twist, although not totally unexpected. Ric seems to have that effect on guys.
  3. Nice way to close the loop.
  4. That area could use a lot of things for gays. It is too close to NYC, so it doesn't develop a gay life of its own.
  5. I think that it should be made clear that PrEP doesn't prevent Hep C or "etc..."
  6. Basically, a grandfathered plan in a plan or policy that was in existence or in effect on March 23, 2010, and has remained basically unchanged. If you purchased an individual health policy more than 12 years ago and have maintained it, it might be grandfathered. Group plans usually change enough over time that most are not grandfathered. A carrier or health plan is required to tell you if it is grandfathered. If you're not sure, ask the carrier or your HR/benefits department.
  7. You can't really say that since you're comparing absolute numbers vs. rates. Heterosexuals may make up 25% of new HIV cases, but they're 90%+ of the population, more or less. So, their chance of contracting HIV is substantially less than one quarter of that of gay/bi people.
  8. I think he'll be pissed at first, then realize that he was hard the entire time Brian was fucking him and want to do it again.
  9. I love it when some conflict is added to a story.
  10. This is a great set up. Can't wait for what happens next.
  11. Agreed. I think that this is one of the best written series on here because the story is so well-plotted, and you manage to strike the right balance between too much detail and not enough. You highlight precisely the right details so that the reader can imagine that he's in the scene (like in the NY apartment).
  12. I love this little subplot. How much longer before Marc figures it out?
  13. That's where the story seemed to be going. But, it is unlikely that we'll see another chapter after all this time.
  14. Involuntary? What authority did they claim that they could do an involuntary blood draw? In fact, what did they claim as their authority to "summon" you to an interview?
  15. Most stories don't get a continuation after so much time has passed. Thank you writing another chapter!
  16. I don't think that what @Sharp-edge is talking about is dating. Instead, just getting to know the other person even if it is superficially through playful chatting and foreplay. I know that the sex is better for me and the bottom if I at least like the guy.
  17. Personally, when I see something like that I tend to think less of the person who posted it. A profile is no place to get into a pissing match.
  18. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feels that way! It is an imbalance. Even more galling is when someone with no pictures asks me for MORE of mine!
  19. I think it comes from the ease of making a Grindr profile and the fact that no info is required. I've been hit up by guys on Grindr who have nothing but a screen name. No age, distance, picture or the slightest amount of other information about themselves. Not exactly a great way to get my attention. I figure that they're closeted married gay guys ("discreet", as they put it) who believe that a gay man will jump anything that breathes.
  20. When the profile of an incoming message has no distance and it doesn't appear in the local grid, that's a sign of a potential catfisher. I'd like to add: [fill in the blank] to the front of the line. Really? There's queue for your bedroom? Finally, and this is more of a Scruff thing than a Grindr issue, guys who claim to be on both PrEP and Treatment as a Prevention in their profiles. I steer clear of them as I assume that they're on neither or that they have so little regard for their health that they can't take the time to understand the difference.
  21. Another classic line in this series!
  22. If you're reading this on a Windows computer, select the article text with your mouse or type CTRL-A to select the entire page. The selected text will then be in white or another bright color.
  23. I wouldn't be surprised if it was all a setup by Jason. Too bad there's not another chapter.
  24. I'm hoping he looks at the receipt and sees that the cashier has written his number on it. Nothing like a hunky blonde.
