Yeah I don’t know about actually “open door” but I’ve done “unlocked door.” There’s an element of risk, but isn’t there an element of risk in everything? The main risk is robbery. You can minimise that by having all your stuff locked away in a safe if it’s a hotel room. It’s a great city to visit. People are very open minded and non judgmental. I second the idea to get a hotel in Schöneberg. Loads of gay bars etc. around there.
