Travel With Poppers

So, I'm heading to Chicago tomorrow and I was wondering, how do you guys travel with Poppers?  I've heard horror stories and I've heard that it's no big deal, so I thought I'd ask here. I was considering just putting it in my little plastic bag in my carry-on as thought it was nail polish remover or something similar.  

 

If I didn't take them with me, is there any place in Chicago to buy the good poppers? I've heard Steamworks and Man's Country as well as one or two porn shops sell them.

I Tavel with them all the time, just throw them in your shaving kit... No one ever says anything to me about them.

But is that in your carry-on or checked? I'm probably not checking any bags, if I were I'd put them in there and not worry.

I carry them on and still never get asked, I even soe times have 2 pr 3 bottles with me.

I agree with FurFluent. Just put it in with all your another toiletries.

The TSA's mission is to ensure the safety of the flight. They do not see themselves as enforcing state law. They have one--and only one--mission.

 

I know people who travel all they time with poppers. If they confiscate them it would be for safety reasons (fumes, flammable), not legal.

 

A friend of mine ran the operations at 3 different airports for a national carrier (but a smallish one). Each month the TSA would give him all the stuff they confiscated from that airlines' passengers. The number 3 most common item: rubber cement. I don't know why anyone travels with rubber cement (except maybe kindergarten teachers with a huffing problem), but there you have it.

I just put them in with my other toiletries in a checked bag. Never had a problem on either domestic or international flights. I figure the worst that can happen is they confiscate (steal?) them.

 

Once, a couple of summers ago, at the minuscule Provincetown, Mass., airport I was dropping off a friend for his flight home and there was an amateurish laser-printed page taped up near TSA screening that said Warning: if you have poppers in your bag you must discard them before approaching.  We laughed -- only in a gay little town like Provincetown! -- but my friend pulled a half-used bottle out of his bag and handed it to me before heading for his plane.

I would not carry it in carry on and I would not travel without checked luggage, but I have a bottle of lavender oil with a dropper that I use for my dogs and it looks like a popper bottle, so if I had to I would empty one of those out and refill it with poppers.

Ok ok let me chime in.I always put the poppers in the checked luggage.It is fine.If you still want have piece of mind do like Pig Bottom does or just take off the label b4 you put it on your checked bag.You will be fine and Happy hunting.

There are plenty of places in Chicago especially on halsted that sell popper...er...I mean head cleaners if you don't want to travel with them.

Theyre not illegal to posess so theres no problem transporting them.

 

I just got back to NC from NY two weeks ago. Checked a large bottle of Jungle Juice and had no problems with TSA.
