Decision making around that is pretty individual and should be assessed with the physician. Short of people who just DGAF if they see evidence of infection and fuck anyway, it's unlikely anyone has all 9 types the vaccine protects against. There's also just the argument that anything you don't have yet if you don't get it as an active infection, it's much better just for public health if you can't get a new infection and then spread it before you realize. Doctors really should not be denying this in most cases... I suspect it happens only because you get HPV though sex. No other vaccine with such a low side effect and lack of added difficulty testing is gatekept quite so much as the HPV vaccine.
