    Civic Centre Motor Inn was fine. The location was perfect. The number of homeless people in the downtown area was confronting. As is the number of boarded up or empty businesses. But the homeless, drug dealers and mad folks generally keep to themselves and don't bother you. Locals are pretty sanguine about them. I think historically SF has pretty good welfare services compared to some other places, which tends to attract people from all over. Dore Alley was great. Wish I was going to Folsom also.     I don't think there's such a thing as 'permanent stretch'. I've used ball stretchers "a lot" for 30-40 years because I love the feeling, like having a friendly hand gripped around your nuts! But the scrotum never got any longer. I used to stretch quite aggressively at times but one day felt a kind of 'ping' inside. Which turned out to be an inguinal hernia that needed to be repaired.     Dreams were definitely strong and weird. But went away after a few months (not weeks). In fact they were a big part of why I opted for long-term daily dose instead of event-based dosing, which was my original plan (ie two weeks before, through two weeks after the event was the thinking back then). Doctor indicated that the side effects might reappear each time I restarted PrEP. Not sure how I would fare on the new 2-1-1 intermittent approach. I'll stick to daily, I think. Six years, so far and no problems. 😃

    Has your friend's issues settled down? Weird headaches are a common side effect when starting but usually dies down, according to the literature. Mine took a couple of months to diminish. I also had weird bad dreams for weeks. And tingling but I think that was in my fingers. The headaches were so intense initially that it put me off the idea of event-based dosing, which was my original plan. The sexual health clinic doctors indicated the side effects might reapply each time I restarted. So I've stuck to daily for over six years. No side effects at all after the first few months.
