What was your Fuck Flu like?

Mine felt like the worst flu of my life. I had the horrible night sweats to the point I slept on a towel and kept a stack of towels by the bed because I had to switch the one I was sleeping on which was soaked with sweat. It lasted about a week. It took about another 3 weeks before I started feeling normal. Looking back now, I have a good guess that I was infected about 2-3 weeks before I got sick. A few years ago I got the bird flu (H1N1) and ended up in the hospital with 107 fever. The fuck-flu felt worse. This past week was the 14th anniversary of that suspected infection. -

My tongue piercing hurt very little. I was very surprised. Accidentally biting my own tongue hurts MUCH, MUCH more. My piercer told me because of the way the tongue is structured, the needle slides right through. When you bite your tongue, you are crushing it which causes the severe pain. You don't get that kind of pain from the piercing. If you do decide to get the piercing, make sure your mouth is super clean beforehand. My dental hygiene was immaculate for a week or so before the piercing and I had no swelling or any other problem. And, of course, keep it really clean during the healing.

You don't have to go into details with your doctor. I simply say that I have had bareback sex since my last visit so I want to full STD test. He's not stupid and he doesn't lecture. He will tell me when there are local outbreaks of something and to be aware. I admire that and fully expect that from him. And even though occasionally a test comes back positive for some STD, we always catch it before I notice any symptoms and we take care of it right away. -

You are not crazy. Remember, the doctors are working for YOU. And don't hesitate to remind them that. As your "employee" they need to know everything to do a good job. If they will not work under your conditions, ask if they can recommend a doctor who will work WITH YOU. Then, fire their ass. -
I have not heard of insurance that only has one option for a doctor! You may want to double-check that. Let's be honest. Gay men (poz or not) have unique medical needs. Remember, she works for you. If she is not educating herself to take care of you, FIRE HER. This is your life and health. You are listed as being in Los Angeles. Are there options for a gay health clinic?

The redness might be because your nose touches the bottle opening and there may be some poppers right on the edge of the bottle. Make sure you wipe the top of the bottle before touching your nose. Or, coat your nose with cream or vaseline before and after use. Also, there are those metal containers that have cotton in them that you soak with poppers so you don't have liquid sloshing around. (I think there are also small face masks that kinda work the same way.)

I had a suspicious pap several years ago. It turned out fine. As a versatile barebacker, I have HPV. (Heck, I've heard numbers as high as 80% of the population may have it.) It depends who tries to trademark it, first. If the Trademark Office denies it, then you have a federal government entity recognizing it as public domain. Then, use it. If the Trademark Office does approve it, then it belongs to whoever submitted the application first. If I'm wrong, please someone correct me. I am interested in how this works out.
