I'm actually 7.5" x 5.5" - but that girth is at the mushroom head, the rest is pretty average. I tell people 8x6, mostly because I want to give them a reasonably correct expectation. A fair number seem to think it's bigger than that when they see it in person. It isn't. But if the statistics page referenced above is accurate, I can see why they would think it is.

I think you should go see a doctor and get tested for whatever you are worried about, and treat it if you have caught something. Also, I think you are very worried and scared, more than you really need to be, because you don't know much about these things. My advice (worth its weight in gold!) is to try to relax, and educate yourself, and maybe find some people whom you trust to talk with about it. I realize that last thing might be hard (I'm guessing you are not out as gay?) but it can really help. Here's how I think of it: All these STDs are just diseases like any other ones. Some of them are uncomfortable and some can kill you, but the same is true of all the other diseases you can catch in other ways. So there's no need to freak out, just evaluate the risk/reward equation and decide what is right for YOU. And I don't believe you have to feel guilty about passing diseases on to another person sexually, unless you do it deliberately and deceptively. The world is a dangerous place, and they decided to have sex with you. -

Great explanation, and your understanding of the prodrugs is right on target. However, I think there's a flaw in your logic. Because of the mechanism of action of TFV (it inibits reverse transcriptase, the enzyme that translates the HIV RNA into DNA, which takes place *after* the virus has entered the cell and its RNA has started making proteins), it's only going to be effective after it is already in the cell that the HIV virus is infecting. So it really has to be in there already, which means that having TFV floating around in the blood *outside* the cell isn't going to help prevent infection. Just mess up your kidneys. This would be why Gilead developed TAF. I believe this is also the reason that it's necessary to build up the body level of either drug before exposure - it takes time for it to be absorbed and get into the cells where it is needed. Infectious disease isn't my field either, but biochemistry is, or was once, with substantial studies in molecular bio as well.

I'm not sure what your intended meaning here is, koolocboy, but the mechanisms of action of the two drugs are identical. The only difference is that the tenofovir in them is a different prodrug form, which affects the absorption and metabolism, but not the mechanism of action. Can you clarify what the theoretical advantage of Truvada is for use as PrEP?

Taking two will boost your chance of having side effects, but it won't interfere with its effect as an antiviral. So just continue as normal and don't skip the blood work to check your kidney function.

With anything that makes you pass out you have to be careful not to overdose, which can be lethal, but ambien (zolpidem) or versed (midazolam) are likely your safest bets. Versed has the advantage that it's relatively short acting. Chloroform is very toxic and can destroy your liver; don't use it! -

For fucking purposes, I couldn't care less.
