I’ve been on daily prep for a few years - lower (but consistently so) kidney scores have meant I’m now on Descovy. A smaller pill and no side effects - kidney scores staying the same. The party that won here in the UK was careful in its campaign to stay on the middle ground and to emphasise good governance, openness & fiscal responsibility. Their leader a bit dull and certainly not flashy offered a period of stability. The Conservatives here were tainted by a period of Trumpian activity and irresponsible financial plans that spooked the market. It now looks like the grown ups are in charge. We also saw a small number of nationalist right wing candidates (5) elected but hugely outnumbered by a large number (72) Liberal Democrat MPs who are more progressive than Labour on some issues. Our system is different so I don’t know how much there is a read through to the US from this. I hope the reset with Kamala Harris gets the Democrats back on track

As someone from the other side of the pond it’s very interesting and instructive to read all these thoughtful comments it’s helped me understand both the dilemmas and calculations needed to be made. Here in the UK we care very much about how this will play out and I personally hope the Democrats find the best solution.

It depends on our definition of ‘nice’ which will vary according to who is asked. Political discourse has become polarised and more angry than I’ve ever remembered and I hope we can all row back from that. Nice (what ever it does mean) might not even be that hot for many - this is a LGBTQ site after all. Personally I have found the most aggression comes from ends of the political spectrum & where our community has suffered the most. That puts me in the middle but I would suggest the middle is where the most progress is achieved quietly and gradually. I would say that when we put political leaders in the balance we have to look at the whole picture both behaviour and policies. When we challenge the bad stuff we don’t have to play their game either. Our community has been good at being creative when fighting for our rights. Im sure I’ve not directly answered your question but a binary response may not be the most helpful one. If not actually nice let's all be respectful.

In my 60s and I find it depends on where you seek younger guys.
