Only home-made stuff. Years ago I had a fb who would come over, set up these little cameras around, and broadcast lovely carryings-on to (apparently) the surrounding x number of blocks. Then, his phone would start buzzing, and there would be guys wanting to come over. I don't know what site he was broadcasting to, or how it all worked, but it was kinda fun.

Just look up Atlantis cruises on the googler ... there may be other lines that have "all gay" cruises too - I don't know for sure though. And, when those cruises are within a few days of setting sail, the town of departure is loaded (ptp*) with eager, horned-up guys just stompin-ready to get started. And you know ....... Of course you may ask .... As executor, I found those documents in the lockbox at my folk's bank after both had passed. They had never shared any of that information with me or my sister (I mean, information on her biological parents). So, it wasn't until a few years ago that I had any idea there was information to be had. I will say that our parents were 100% honest with us as kids, never hiding the facts from us. They just neglected to share any information that might lead either of us to make the attempt. I don't blame them at all. We had a great childhood, all of that, and I loved my parents as much as any kid could. By then, I thought it over for some time, and finally arrived at why do it? My life was well established, theirs was too, so what would be gained by upsetting that applecart. I know I have siblings, at least one brother, (maybe two) and at least 2 sisters (maybe 3). These were conceived after the birthparents grew up a bit, married, and had more kids. Since it was a Lutheran placement service - in Sweden - where they presumably grew up and now live - I thought it may well prove a more negative than positive thing. This may sound odd, but ..... the only thing I would have liked was if the younger brother would have been gay too, and I'd have had a "little brother" to .... well ..... get started on, if you receive my meaning. Other than that, far too much water had passed under the dam, to my view. I'm not at all bothered by any of it.

All of the above may be helpful (assuming a lot of guys even know what some of those flags / pins mean), but the best way to attract the notice of other gay men is how you project your "presence". Look a prospect in the eye, hold his gaze a moment, and give him a hint of a smile. Not a big fat smile, just a hint. Break the gaze and do something else, and glance at him again while you're doing whatever - pinching tomato's at the grocery store, pretending to search for a product of some kind on the shelves, whatever. If the guy nods back, or even smiles back, walk up to him with a confident step, and talk to him. Don't be overbearing (at least not at first). Project that which you would respond to in someone else. All the doo-dads are ok, I guess, but nothing will be more productive than self-confidence. Make sure it's a friendly face, with a bit of a smile he sees. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, as the old saying goes. Good luck, bud !!

There are a number of gay cruises on ships out of Ft. Lauderdale & Miami. As far as I know, they're still running. I don't know anything about them other than hearsay, since I've never taken one. I do hear that any kind of food-born illnesses can spread like wildfire though, and during covid, the cruises were either stopped or diverted from this area. Never heard of a specifically bareback cruise though. Even during the height of the covid scare, guys would fuck with N95 masks on, but I never ever saw a rubber ...

Since you're presumably discussing biological families, I'll never know. We were adopted kids, but when my folks passed, I did find some documentation in their lockbox at the bank relating to the birth parents. Apparently, I was a "love-child" of two horny teenagers who later on got married and raised a family. I'll never know if any biological siblings turned out to be sluts - or even gay. That fact did make it easier for my adoptive family, since all the relatives knew that I wasn't actually "their" blood. Frankly, I'm just as happy knowing I'm not of their blood too. I never hear from any of them anymore, which is fine with me. Life is what we - as separate, individuals - make it. So far, I haven't wasted much of mine.

I don't know how to do that. It was the opening subject on John King's noon broadcast (EST) on CNN yesterday. Maybe the people who make the links at the CDC hadn't done it yet? A little later, one of the talking heads specifically mentioned Ft. Lauderdale/Miami.

I suspect that the bf either deleted my # from Javier's phone, or cowed the young man into doing what the bf told him to. I have no idea of other circumstances - i.e. financial arrangements, housing arrangements, all of that - so maybe I'll hear from him - maybe I'll run into him again at the bar - who knows. About 30 minutes ago, the CDC released a statement advising that the LGBT+ Community is at greatest risk of contracting monkey pox. Apparently, someone can be infections before the actual pustules develop, which will eventually form "crusts", at which time the individual is no longer contagious. Also apparently, there are relatively minor symptoms (similar to the common cold) before any of the pox form on the skin. By all means, guys - check out the information on the CDC website for yourselves.

When I saw this post, I sniffed around a bit too. In my area, both were heavily dependent on public parks/spaces, most of which I'd never heard of because I never go to them. There were some of the infamous local bars/fuckclubs, which I already know about. I don't imagine I'll bother with either of these. It makes me wonder who's behind these. In the fuckjoints, either they're there to fuck or get fucked, with none of the potential risk of arrest. I know some guys find that risk exciting somehow, but I've never been arrested for fucking in public, and I reckon I'll keep it that way.

One thing I don't understand though, is why would some Black men ........ would want to place themselves in the situation where the old ways are reinforced? For many, there's not much else to them in the first place. The tragedy in Minneapolis served to awaken millions of clueless Caucasians to the perversion of humanity we call racism. If these Black men are looking for validation, looking to centuries of oppression by white men would be - I would think - be the very last place they'd look. Validation from their oppressors? Well, I'm not exactly sure if this belongs in the "last load" thread, but it might .... So was at my favorite fuckjoint last night, did my usual circuit of the place, hit the darkroom, rutted in a few Holes, and then went to the bar for a beer (it's byob, btw - you can't buy any liquor, only soft drinks). A few sips, and this very good-looking Hispanic guy sat down next to me, with this big fat smile pointed at me. I didn't recognize him at all. Small chat ensued - still smiling. Turns out he was one of the Holes I'd been in, and he recognized me from my boots !!! Now. One cardinal rule of the darkrooms, is never wear good Boots to a darkroom. They'll get stepped on, stomped on, scuffed and fucked up. It cost me a beautiful pair of John Ashbourne's to learn that lesson. So, I wear an ancient pair of old engineers when I hit the fuckjoints. The Rockettes could dance on them and not do any noticeable damage. That said, he was engaging, pleasant, told me his name is Jose, and thanked me for fucking him, etc etc. Apparently I did pump my load up his Hole - but it's way too dark in there to know for sure. After showing it to me at the bar, I did remember it though - exactly what I love most in a Hole - full of thick, rich black hair, fanning out over the cheeks, up to the lower back, down the thighs .... matted down with drying loads .... grrrrrrrrrr. Well, well .... nice to have some survivors of the religious/cultural repression turn up on BZ !!! The first gay bar was on the South side of State St, maybe the 4 hundred block, and the owner was Earl, a retired cop. The front door was never used - guys would park in the area behind the bar and use the back door. I don't think I ever saw anyone come in or go out the front door. I can't recall the name either though. I even used to park over by First Lutheran and walk over !!! Later, there was another abs that opened, also on State St, maybe the 2 or 3 hundred block from the river, but I never went to either of them either. That one was frequented by the pastor of yet another Lutheran church, where he was often on his knees at the gh's, "praying" for (presumably) loads down his throat. Just when I was going away to school another bar opened up somewhere in the area, but I never went there. Haven't been back there for years, and have zero plans to do it either. There's another guy on BZ from Rockford - it's great to know that at least a handful of us managed to flush the religio/cultural garbage we were raised on, and managed to become the men we were born to be !!! No problem, Say what you mean, if you don't care to be challenged. ReCon meant a LOT to many of us at one time, and seldom merely for "hookups". Friendships lasting decades were developed after initially becoming acquainted via ReCon.

I beg your pardon. I seem to recall that somewhere else you mentioned that you're 30 years old. Thus, when you were about 10 years old, ReCon ("World Leathermen" at the time) was a most appreciated method of connection between those of us the uphold and honor the Leather Ethic. Then, it was magnificent to even be in communication with Leathermen from all over the world. I still enjoy friendships I initially made via that website, to this day. I don't use the apps anymore, and there since there are very few days - even in what passes for "Winter" in FL - to wear the Hides, let alone Full Dress, I am nothing but grateful for ReCon (at least as it once was - perhaps not the case now). ReCon may be useless to you presently, but that has not "always" been the case - no matter how beautiful and talented in the Leather Arts you are today. Thank you.
