I don't believe the Constitution GAVE anyone rights; I think the Creator gave all humans inalienable rights that the Founders simply piled onto. But, there is a huge hole for me in your analysis. (I myself do not know that it is, but it seems highly likely that failure to police borders is logically an enabler of all of these things, even if the percentage of illegal immigrants involved in these crimes is relatively small.) I have been hard pressed to explain why people turn to racism as an explanation for "everything" (self-admitted hyperbole), but I recently came across an explanation that I think fits the pattern more effectively, namely territorialism. Many conservative people love all of god's children and all of the cultures they have created wherever they are on the planet, but they are aware that cohabitants of an area take hundreds of years to generate cultures, which help people make sense of everything from small hand gestures (thumbs up), to the way a phrase is understood (e.g., "Death to America"). If you measure in-group versus out-of-group preference, you'll find that a huge preponderance of people all over the world prefer their own group partly because it is REALLY HARD to understand another language, another culture's body-language, another culture's humor, etc. These misunderstandings generate a lot of friction. It doesn't necessarily mean that they hate other races or wish to go to war against people far away. BUT, they don't necessarily want cultures from another territory changing the nature of their society. Much of these frictions can be explained by territorialism rather than racism. I think people can be territorialists but not racists, and I think people can be both. I DEFINITELY believe in racism, but by one measure at least (intermarriage), Brazil and the US are by far the least racist countries in the world. This is already too long a post, but the whole piece about media seems incredibly partisan and fails to recognize the corruption of and loss of credibility of mainstream media, along with the active censorship by the Biden administration, which leaned heavily on social media to censor and shadow-ban (sorry, will label this an assertion since I don't have time to cite sources here, but anyone with any doubt about this can at least look up the Twitter files and Mark Zuckerberg's commentary. Great to see critiques of our government on the site, keep them coming. I'm surprised that after five months of the Trump administration Democrats aren't leaping right into the Libertarian bed to shrink the power of the government :-).

Much like @nanana's comment, you're showing a theorization that leads to a good potential explanation of events and I also wish more people would cite sources as you have. While I'm not 100% there yet, I haven't completely dismissed it as conspiracist either. It's good stuff. Now on the other side of that, @meetme's post sounds like a modern interpretation of "The Fox & The Grapes": e.g. Trump won, so regardless of reason, it must be fraud. It dismisses offhand the reality that the media gaslit the public, omitted details and news coverage that didn't place it's candidate (Biden) in a favorable light, and created narrative designed to sound like "Biden good, orange man bad". It's an oversimplification dismissive that anyone would feel that the country was not heading in the right direction, and that view was validated by numerous pre-election polls that should have been a harbinger to the Democrats. And that seems to be a theme. The left's view is "how dare they vote for the Republican", embodied in comments like "basket of deplorables" (Hillary Clinton) and others. The concept that there be a dissenting view is inconceivable to them, as if no one should be thinking of a view that they didn't espouse. And there's a crap ton of those that did not land with a large swath of the electorate. We could opine on this, but aren't the following explanations possible given the outcome: Biden's/Harris' message didn't resonate with the base or represent the direction they wanted to see, so they just stayed on the sidelines. They felt disenfranchised by the lack of a primary and the lack of a convention floor vote because of anointing Harris as the handpicked nominee. They didn't like the direction of the agenda and it leaned too far from the center to be supportable. They felt misled by the media, and after the debate performance, that feeling was reinforced. They weren't better off than they were 4 years ago. Where voters wanted to come back to the center, the party was leaning further left. Immigration was a HUGE issue and the Biden Administration was proven to be ineffective on that. If even one of those isn't a possibility, explain why?

I don't really do bathhouses anymore. It was never my scene, and when I went in my 30s, it was mostly for the purpose of the experience and not getting the loads (or dropping them).
