The only way to know you are taking PrEP would be with blood tests, hair or tissue samples that look for the components of Truvada, Tenofovir and/or Emtricitabine. These tests don't exist outside research settings or very specialized clinics AFAIK. Also HIV tests look for either antibodies to HIV or HIV itself, none of which you are going to have being on PrEP. TL,DR Being on PrEP will NOT show in any work 'drug tests' or in any HIV tests. You are fine

There is 'safer' in which both condoms and PrEP apply, so if you want to say condoms, say condoms, not 'safer'. And not sure if you read my OP. You'll be fine. That being said, you have more risk than someone who is less promiscuous, so you have to think how you'd feel in the very rare case you seroconverted. I do this myself. If I became poz, would it have been worth the countless unhibited cum loading fuck sessions I've had since going on PrEP? I'm having the best sex of my life so the answer is a 'Yes'. My right eye has been acting up for a while, like a couple of years. It's hard to describe what's going on, checking every eye individually seems to be fine, but there's something that's not quite right. It's not as bad as me going to doctors, although I did mention it to my PCP who says I should just get off poppers. New formulations of poppers, Isopropyl nitrate in particular, seem to be associated with eye problems, specially in Europe. I think USA still sees a lot of isobutyl nitrate poppers which are apparently safer. My question for the peeps over here is, has anyone experienced eye problems using poppers, specially with poppers obtained in Europe?

My assumption is that most of Europe is hanging in there for the appearance of Truvada generics. We should start seeing generics end of 2017, beginning of 2018 but they won't be much cheaper than Gilead's Truvada right off. PrEP, specially when generics arrive, will actually save money long run because it will stop people from seroconverting, which is a lot more expensive. A lifetime of daily super expensive drugs. Yes, PrEP makes everyone become a bareback whore. So what. Let's be real, the only reason why condoms were introduced were to stop HIV. PrEP stops HIV better than condoms. There are other STDs!! There are. Which you can get through oral sex, kissing, eating ass... condom usage during anal intercourse just stops some STDs during anal intercourse. Doesn't magically protect you from everything else. PrEP just alters the odds of getting others STD slightly, but neither condoms nor PrEP avoid you from getting them. Only abstinence does. Feel free to add your own pro PrEP arguments. I guarantee you you'll need them over and over anywhere PrEP is introduced. It's the same drill in every place this conversation gets started.

Thank you for your perspective. I really hope there's some sort of campaign to promote PrEP in France. It sounds very similar like when I went on PrEP back in 2012 in USA and I had to fight stigma and slut shaming through and through in the USA. It's 2016 now, and it's hard to find anyone who will not drop the condoms in a heartbeat. In a way, seems condom usage has essentially disappeared in San Francisco. Those requesting them are very much a dwindling minority. In Spain, even without PrEP it's so easy to make people drop their condoms.. most of the time you don't have to say anything and condoms are not used or you just say that "I am clean" that I am.... However this french man I met, it was the kind of guy who kept checking the condom was in place while I was fucking him, which I find extremely annoying. To be fair, I did not disclose my PrEP taking status, because it's always a super awkward conversation, specially with people that don't know about it... but I had met previously frenchmen who took it bare, so somehow I expected the same. It's going to be interesting what route does PrEP take in France. We really need it to take off there. It's the only place in Europe where you can get PrEP. You should stop Truvada ASAP if you become HIV+ to avoid drug resistance, which happens almost always on the PrEP breaktrhough cases. Therefore, 6 month checkups are way too long. You should do them every 3 months, with a 4th generation test if possible.

Not much of a mistery. When the bottom gets a load with tons o virus in it, the chances of the virus making into the blood through the tears of fucking is quite high. You get the load staying around your guts with tons of virus just waiting to find an entrance in you. Bottoming without ejaculation has far less risk, about the same as topping. Been on PrEP 3 and some years. I've got fucked and bred in all sorts of settings. From one on one hookups at home, saunas, darkrooms, to cumunion parties. Let's see. HSV seropositivity is so high 75%+ in gay men, that it's sort of pointless to tell people about it because they probably already have 1 or 2. Also, if you take 1mg of Valtrex daily you will almost eliminate your viral shedding. Do that and there's no need of telling anyone.

You may want to ask for valtrex. It's a different prodrug of acyclovir that has better bioavailability and it's only 1X day to prevent outbreaks.
