I noticed Cumunion Parties started having Bearunion parties recently. Has anyone been to one yet, and if so what was it like? I'm sure I will attend one in the near future. It looks like they just had one in Seattle, which would be the closest location for me to get to, was there any thing that resembled an orgy at it? I love bathhouses for this reason, in most cities. There are unfortunately exceptions, there are a few cities where large numbers of guys go to bathhouses to hang out, socialize and/or look for Mr Right, and when enough of them are there for reasons other than hooking up for a quick suck or fuck, they create enough signal interference that they become cock blockers, just like they do on the hookup apps. I know locally for me guys looking for non-sexual activities are on all of the apps, but guys looking for a buddy to hang out with have pretty much commandeered Doublist, and A4A is almost entirely guys looking for LTR. The apps that haven't attracted guys looking for something other than sex have become ghost towns here in Portland.

I guess I see it differently, meeting for drinks is a date not a hookup to fuck. I frequently see profiles where I live that appear to be written by someone who is looking for a buddy to hang out with. That is the problem, we don't have separate sites or areas within the sites for guys looking to feck, guys looking for companionship i.e hangout with or date, and guys seeking LTR, which makes the apps less useful for all of us.

If that analogy works, it would explain why I like sniffies better. In the 90s I was, and still am big on cruising the local spots for quick fucks, bar hookups usually take more time, conversation and effort. The ambiguity of the internet allows for some "100% straight" guys on the apps to be similar to the "100% straight" guys at real life cruising spots that aren't exclusively for gay sex (if they are at Slammer they have at least admitted to themselves that they are on the DL by going to a gay sex club), in denial. If you partake in gay sex acts you are either bi or gay, not 100% straight. Personally as long as the sex is good I don't have a problem with it.

I have several that go back to my childhood, so 50ish years. One really close one that we never miss a major event in each other's lives and we have both dropped everything to fly across the country when the other was in a time of need. Very true, and currently in the US we have "Christian" influencers not only pushing their extremist religious views, but advocating rounding up those that don't agree with them and placing us in camps or executing us. A few of these so called "Christian" influencers are Trump/MAGA supporters that are frequent guests of Trump at Mar a Lago. It is possible and necessary to staunchly oppose Muslims, Christians and any other religious groups that want to do this simultaneously. All theocratic governments are bad period.

I call it "Christian Mingle" for gays for that vary reason, locally it is almost exclusively men looking for LTR, very few even bother to put their sexual interests on their profile and make sure they put some variation of "I don't fuck on the 1st date," prominently in the text on their profile. That seems to vary, my limited experience here in Portland is that do oral do not consider themselves "sides", but that apparently varies by location. A bigger problem are the guys that do toys, fingers or fists, but won't even consider touching a cock or letting you touch theirs, calling themselves top, bottom or versatile here in Portland, I would consider them "sides" as I understand the definition. I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer the question since I have never formed a romantic attachment with another man. I don't know of any sites/apps that specifically cater to that, but the number of guys completely ignoring the hookup data points and attempting to tailor their profiles to relationship type information on the hookup sites, would indicate there is some demand for such services. -
"Side" seems to be the latest term for guys who don't engage anal sex in any position or any most cases even oral sex.
