My hats off to the dedication the dedication to being a slut that staying 12 or more hours takes. I don't think I've ever gone beyond 8 hours and always feel guilty about neglecting other parts of my life when I did. Even when I take a sexcation, while I do expect to get laid multiple times a day, every day, I still typically spend the majority of my time doing normal tourist things. I see this as a matter of respect, while I for the most part did not let guys fuck me raw before I was willing to take loads I think the top should respect the bottoms wishes on whether they want bred or not. If you lived anywhere else I would advise you to do the latter. My observation is in cities that have a lot of activity is that the active engaged bottoms get the action. Of course I'm biased since I prefer an active bottom, and am always active when I bottom. In the extreme passive aggressiveness of the PNW, the former may actually be a better choice, and if so I'm completely incompatible.

Luckily they do a good job of enforcing the no phones in public play spaces here. I'm not even going to approach someone trying to room cruise and use their phone at the same time. Part of my problem is I had never experienced that prior to moving to the PNW. I went every Friday and Saturday night, and was never lonely or felt the need to spend more than 3 or 4 hours to get completely satiated. On the rare occasions I did stay longer, it was because the action was so off the wall that I couldn't pry myself away. For the 1st 10+ years I lived in Portland, I was usually traveling 75% or more of the time, so as long as I wasn't working on projects in the PNW I was able to take care of most of my needs during the week. There were years when I didn't set foot inside a Portland sexclub, if I was working on projects in cities where I knew I could get laid Monday through Thursday night, it simply wasn't worth the frustration. Then I got hit with a major health crisis, and just as I recovered from that to the point I was starting to travel and hookup again, COVID hit. So far traveling for work hasn't recovered from COVID, my work is almost exclusively remote. I made the decision this summer to stop spend so much time in the sexclub just waiting, 1) because the results were disappointing at best, 2) it was actually impacting other parts of my life. I changed employers this year and luckily I have the opportunity to relocate, and am planning on doing so this spring. The only hard requirements I have are internet access and proximity to a major airport, so I can factor in how easy it is to get laid when I choose where I want to live.

I went to a Cumunion Party at one of the sexclubs here in Portland with a fairly large crowd, I left after spending a little over 4 hours even more sexually frustrated than when I arrived. I'm glad you are there for him, and aren't trying to force him. This has to be his decision. Unless the drug and alcohol abuse, that you mentioned, becomes a major problem he will be better off finding his own path. As a versatile guy who isn't getting as much sex as he would like, I prefer guys that take the risk that they in at not be fully clean and accept that shit sometimes happens rather than not have sex. The problems with using the apps, is they work well in the same cities in person cruising works well. As someone who has traveled throughout North America, I still have to figure out what types of cruising work well for the area and then figure out the currently active locations, the apps are slightly easier since there are fewer of them but you still have to figure out which ones are locally active. I mostly use the apps to shortcut the process of learning the local in person cruising scene.

I would probably let your nephew know that you are there for him, and that he can always come for an extended visit. Getting him a phone and plan that is separate from the family is a good idea, but not sure that the iPad meets that need. Unless your nephew actually wants to uproot himself and move 900 miles, you can't force him. I also fully understand that he may not want to give up the truck he has purchased, potentially damaging his credit just when he needs it most. As long as his grandparents are letting him stay with them, my personal opinion is he has to do the rest on his own terms. Just be there for him if he needs you.

BBRT does not seem to be as active as it once was, and has always varied by area. So I don't think it is you, try it the next time you travel somewhere and see if it works there. I've always done really well using it in Palm Springs, most recently in July.

Having that group of active regulars goes a long way. That is something I really missed when I moved to Portland, in Denver I could go to either club I was a regular at and have at least a handful of regulars willing to have sex with me, if there was no "new meat" in the club, pretty much any night of the week. There are some places where the weather conditions seem to prevent launches almost all of the time. I have definitely noticed living here, that there is more sex to be had from December to February during the coldest wet weather, and almost no sex to be had in July and August when the sun is shining.
