I think the thing smartass is confusing himself with is the belief that condom usage is anywhere near 100% effective in preventing HIV. The best estimates are condoms fail 5-10% of the times they are used, and that assumes that they are being put on correctly. I have a buddy who converted from being fucked with a rubber. His versatile fuck buddy apparently had a box of out of date condoms that broke way too easily. His buddy had taken a load sometime previously with one of these bad condoms and not noticed the break. I live in a small town although it is a college town. A4A and Grindr are both full of the same 20-30 guys that only change a little each January and September. I am on the side of waiting. Continuing to irritate a hemorrhoid can make it progress to the point that you need to have it treated surgically. Here is the reason for the rule about straight sex. It used to be the rule for the whole site and there was no Straight/Bi section. Not that I feel I need to defend my actions, but I want to be clear with everyone. Go look at post #67 in this thread. When MackyJay mentioned he would be including some straight sex in a future chapter, I told him that if he were to do that he would need to post those chapters in the Straight/Bi section and link the two stories. I even offered to help him make that happen. He chose to go ahead and do what I told him was against the rules. That is why he got an infraction. It wasn't a mistake; he had been told not to and did it anyway. At first I just moved the story, but then one of you sent me a nasty PM asking why MackyJay broke a rule and didn't get a suspension when they had for the same thing. I told him he was right and then went back and fixed my mistake by giving MackyJay a suspension.

I would assume that some of the increase comes from Craiglist increasing the number of hookups. There are lots of guys who only use CL to hook up. It seems to be the go-to site for DL business travelers.

Lots of parties get set up on BBRT and A4A. I am sure there are standing parties that happen every year, but I haven't gotten into one of those yet. I am rethinking my initial reaction. I believe I am applying a double standard because I would have had a different reaction to a woman telling the same story. I work at a university, and we are all now hyper-aware of the federal regulations to report any sexual assault we hear about. I think one of the big problem that college-aged men have is not so much not understanding "no means no" but not realizing that anything less than an enthusiastic yes also means no. And for some young men nothing short of a severe sanction like being expelled from school (or criminal charges) will teach them this. -

When I try to access the main (not mobile) site on Chrome on a Windows 7 box that I built myself, the site doesn't load. It just hangs saying "Waiting for barebackrt.com" no matter how long I let it sit. No element of the BBRT website appears. Every once in a while (3-4 times a month) it connects fine the first time.

I can't access BBRT on Chrome at all. It's been this way for months. It's the only website I have issues with. I can go there on Firefox most (but not all) of the time. Safari on my iPad has no trouble with it, but that might just be the mobile site.
