People remain overweight throughout their adult lives and become diabetic. People use/abuse tobacco and develop mouth, throat, and lung cancer. People use/abuse alcohol and develop dozens of different chronic conditions. People play violent contact sports and develop mental and physical conditions related to them. People participate in various extreme sports and need joint replacement in their 30s and 40s instead of their 60s and 70s. There are lot of people outside of chasers who do not do all they could to avoid being sick. These people are also a larger burden on the healthcare system than they might be if they had made healthier choices.

Universal healthcare is frowned on in the US because we believe people who are poor must have done something to deserve it and that insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies deserve to make outrageous profits. We pay so much more for our crummy healthcare than places that have universal. Everyone would be healthier and we would spend less money if most of our legislators were not beholden to special interests.

I haven't topped in 15 years or so. When my husband and I were first dating, he offered to bottom for me once just because he thought it was fair. I couldn't manage it. If you are getting the tests that the CDC recommends doctors periodically give, the you are covered. Kidney function is one of the things they are checking. A very few people have the issue, but it will correct its3lf once they stop taking the drug.

It's fine that you aren't a chaser. Not everybody has to want HIV. But you do want your bf to cum inside you. You really have two choices: get on PrEP or accept that your bf may poz you. Deciding that your bf and your connection is worth the risk of HIV is not the same thing as chasing; you want to have an intimate connection to this one poz guy. You just need to make peace with the thought of getting knocked up by him before it happens. Otherwise, you may regret it afterwards which would fuck up things with your bf (not necessarily forever).
