I used to belong to a club, now defunct, called Wisconsin Bares. They've been gone for years. But started in 89 as a BB Nude play group. It evolved to be tame and social, and eventually disbanded. Being poz and coming to understand that I am just a ton more comfortable with fellow poz guys (or guys who truly don't fret it). I would be the host in the greater Milwaukee metropolitan area. I have always been a barebacker, and I don't really want to host sex parties where we all enjoy bareback fun with each other, taking responsibility for our own sexual health as we see fit. As I would be the host, guys coming would have to be comfortable with me being poz not undetectable as I plan to be an active participant. Which isn't to confuse my purpose as a host, which is man to man sexual pleasure open to all the others there. Not sure how/where I'll make it known. I suppose in these weird times maybe I should just suggest guys contact me about my events via email? I'm looking for some feedback. Am I probably barking up a tree that won't go anywhere?

Brian would have me nervous... He is already misrepresenting himself. If he isn't to text while at work, at least limit to 1 saying something like "I'll message you after work". It should be crazy easy to be honest about our texting boundaries. Not an accusation of dishonesty; quite possible he isn't in touch with himself yet. My next conversation with him would be about that. Suf perhaps needs more in person time with you.

We still live in a world where some at least continue to utter "it's worth any amount of money if only....". I think we have a responsibility to each other in a civilized society to make reasonable attempts to protect each other from harm. But it is up to each of us to decide what we, ourselves, define as harmful to ourselves. Keeping developing humans out of harms way until they can make an informed decision makes good sense. But if said developing human is smart enough to work out how to get around blocks or over fences - something youngsters have been doing for centuries - we've done our part. A lot of the current strife we're experiencing globally is how to define our boundaries. We seem to get caught up in trying to define everyone else's boundary even though those are more restrictive than those, we ourselves, define for ourselves. Why?

A good point Philip about profiles and fellows we meet online. Hardly anyone who chats me, or who I chat, reads my profile. Honestly that confuses me. The sites all have a means for us to describe ourselves, give the relevant high points. I still complete mine. But maybe it is time to drop the whole profile pretense. Maybe just a face pic with minimal if any description makes more sense. Like we were the guy across the room strangers saw. (or visa versa; we're the stranger across the room and they notice us). Maybe it is much more natural to drop the descriptions which are often used to arbitrarily edit out "guys we don't want"; when things like occupation, interests are best answered in the moment we meet.

Let's not forget about TasP guys. Twenty years ago, before PrEP and during the many partner studies it became clear that Treatment as Prevention was highly effective. Look for your sex mates amongst poz guys on meds.

Effective truly depends on what half the recommended dosage is accomplished? One of two pills daily or two pills every other day? And of course factor in potential exposures. Many will follow an On Demand PrEP; which BTW, at least in the US, is not recommended by the CDC. But if one is only exposed on Saturday, seven days of either Truvada or Discovy is more than is needed and in particular with Truvada, that might be the healthier option. The point I think is to discuss and understand dosing and discuss with your HIV doc. (Few GP's that I've met have much understanding on HIV at all, which I find confounding but all too common.). There are options which can be equally safe and effective. That said, if you don't want to be involved in those details; you don't wanna think about it; better to comply with dosing as the downside of improper use is worse than the infection you're trying to prevent.

When you get cataract surgery, they will have to do some workarounds as a result of having taken flowmax. I found alfuzosin much more effective. -

I've had prostate cancer for almost four years now. Thankfully slow growing, so the my decision was monitoring. I did have the Urolift procedure, damned glad I did. It had to be repeated after 18 months as tissue sagged between the lifts. But it has been successful. Tamulosin (FlowMax) is pretty brutal. I switched to Alfuzosin with much better results. -
It's certainly possible we'll see a general end to site like this. But then too, look at where all the big sex stories lie, Epstein et all. Seems to cover a big portion of the R's, so I don't see an end, just transition to something else...

I think fretting where you and Suf go from here isn't something that needs to be answered today I'll evolve as it evolves. You appear to be present for that, and to varying degrees so are Suf and Phil. I always experienced that warmth you mention as an exchange of energy between me and whomever I am touching. With some it flows, with others it almost repels, and yet for the majority it really isn't there all that much. Suf, Phil, you, me, everyone reading this is continuously working to find ourselves. None of us is single dimensional. Each of us is complex with similarities to others, but never exactly the same. And we evolve until our final breath. You're articulating the high points of your evolution here.
