  1. Agreed. When I'm out and about, and hear someone bitching about the results, sometimes I merely ask "Oh? So how did YOU vote?" One of two responses usually ensues: 1: stunned silence or 2: a hurried blathering of nonsense. Cogency escapes them. Some folks are simply dull as a stone.
  2. I'm wondering what the resident of 1600 has in mind, when he proposes displacing millions of Palestinians, seizing their ancestral (for millennia) homeland, and "creating a Riviera of the Middle East" on the seized land. It hasn't mentioned where all the displaced residents would go - perhaps it hasn't occurred. He hasn't mentioned any plans to resettle the Palestinians, other than 'somewhere else'. Interestingly, this announcement came shortly after meeting with Netanyahoo over the weekend, who visited for his regularly-scheduled 'tongue-up-hole' performance. Maybe that's how Nettie got so bald - wore it all off ass-tonguing US Presidents. Meanwhile, said resident is busy attempting to cannibalize (and likely try to terminate) the US governmental agency which is tasked with exactly that kind of assistance: USAID.
  3. Everyone that lived through it will never ever ever ever forget. You're correct, of course. Can you narrow it down a bit though? Define what you mean by "group". A flesh-and-blood collection of concerned gay guys, like back when hiv first appeared? There are already a number of gay/lesbian/trans/apologies-if-I-missed-anyone groups actively resisting the hellish whirlwind of hatreds emanating from 1600. If you meant here on BZ, I'd like to know how that would be managed. In any case, men and women of good will, of whatever stripe, of whatever background, need to organize, and exert maximum pressure on their local politicians. Shit like this may be announced by those squatting on the top of the pile, but the real action starts and grows from the bottom upwards. When men and women of good will gather together, make plans to actually do something*, it enervates everyone involved, and that increased level of energy can overcome the natural fear of what might happen. When we work together - when we take part, actually turn up, join, start a resistance group, the response to tyranny grows exponentially. All it takes is a handful of people of good will to get that ball rolling. *and notify the local press in advance
  4. Why will we need an email address instead of our usual nickname? Is that completely necessary?
  5. Thanks for the update: You can't see it of course, but right now I'm wearing a big, fat, shit-eating GRIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I only use it for the 2 days after, which for me, would be Sat, Sun, & Mon - since usually I head out to the fuckjoints on Fri and Sat nights. I've only started it a couple of months ago, and haven't noticed anything different "bodily-system" wise, and there's a different, non-related pill I have to take, so it's no big deal at all. And, so far anyway, it's worked as advertised.
  7. So the hell have I. There were tons of gh joints on the N side of Chicago (where Boystown (apparently) was convenient to the elevated stops, subway stops, arterial surface streets, and my other half and I were regulars at some of them. Now that Boystown is apparently gone - so say the reports from guys I still know back there. Here in Ft. L, I don't know of any abs's. There used to be one way our west - almost to Weston, and I went there a few times, but the place was really run-down, not very busy, and just not worth driving half an hour to get to. Of course, there are gh's in the fuckjoints, but there aren't all that many really good fuckjoints either. I miss the gh action: so easy - pay the freight, hit the darkened area, and get it done. Sure, the tubs are fine - but it was great to just pull over, feed the meter, and minutes later have your Cock up a hungry Hole. Then again, we don't have to shovel the sunshine either .....
  8. Shucks ... There's a grocery store at the end of Wilton Manors Drive - a local chain - and it's the closest one to Crisco Heights. Tons of gay guys there, and I've heard guys that haven't seen each other in a while holler "hey, you old whore" and similar (in a totally friendly way) any number of times. The old women who still shop there don't even bat an eye .... 😄
  9. Ahhhhh ..... Is the Heart 'O Chicago over on Ridge still thriving ??? <<<filthy grin>>>
  10. To the issue though, every house in the area has a/c. Most are central heat/air combination, and we have these thick, double-paned windows throughout that insulate from the outside - heat or cold. Fortunately, I don't mind hot weather at all, but I do detest being cold. Today, it's not quite 80, all the windows are open, a few clouds drifting by occasionally, and it's a perfect day.
  11. Those critters better watch out for ME !!! I have pavers in my back yard, and all of a damn sudden some critter dug a hole* under an edge of the pavers, and natch - they began to collapse. Had to hire a critter-trapping company - that was 4-figures - and they came up with nothing but a couple of cats. Then, had to hire a paver company to fill the hole, re-position and cement in the loose pavers - and that was another 4-figures. I think all the pirates we heard stories about as kids landed in Fort Fuck-u-dale - and their descendants are still in the pirating business to this day. 😠
  12. No. There are a lot of locals that go there on a "day pass", spend part of a day having sex, and that's that. There are paths surrounding the buildings so guys can look in the windows at the action (all the slings are hung so guys can see the action through the window. Then, almost every guy with the room leaves the door slightly ajar, so other guys can check out the action through the window, and either come in and join or keep on cruising. There's also plenty of sex in/around the pool, other nooks and crannies on the property. The drugs are mostly used inside the rooms, with the door closed and the shades drawn over the windows. Not that I've ever seen them, but I'd guess that there are undercover cops* in there sometimes too. I suppose for some guys, the drugs are the primary draw - but for most guys, the public fucking is the fun part. *it's Ft Lauderdale - the cops are mostly gay too, and obviously they're not in uniform ...
  13. We went there on vacation many years go - we both thought it was lovely there. I too am sorry to hear that things have changed so much. But, nothing stays the same forever.
  14. Well, to each their own, right? We make our own beds and then we lie in them.
  15. I think the derogatory possibility is more in the way the (potentially) degrading statement is made. For instance: Imagine you're in a fuckjoint where everyone's fucking everyone - or at a buddy's orgy, or anywhere guys are fucking. Saying "you're such a whore" can be delivered with a sneer, a snarl, furrowed brow, and it would be difficult to mis-interpret. Or, a guy can almost purr - like a cat - into a guy's ear, "you're such a whore" in a loving, caring, reinforcing way - and it will be taken as a very high compliment indeed. The first is utterly degrading, and definitely not conducive to a hot fuck. The second can be whispered, quietly, lovingly, into the ear of a hot-Holed boy cumdrunk on Cock, Sperm, taking load after load, and it would be completely affirming of his Lusts for wanton sex.
  16. Around here, the protests are already beginning - mostly anger against muskrat's meddling. I've registered for one on the weekend - my sign will read: "no one voted..." (on the front), and "for a muskrat" (on the back). Don't like it? Downvote it. I don't give a muskrat's ass.
  17. Yes, my other half and I went a number of times, and it was fun. That said, I haven't been back for quite a while, and I hear things are very different there now. I remember this old Spanish lady walking up and down the beaches with tons of those loud, colorful thin, filmy "wraps" calling 'how many - how many" over and over and over. I think I still have a couple somewhere ... But !!! There were some stunningly beautiful Spanish boys with very hungry Holes too ... Mauricio's restaurant was First Class, but a long taxi ride from Blue Chairs (I wonder if it's still there). There were also guys on the beach with long coils of rope, which (once you paid, of course) they'd put you in a harness-like contraption, call (on a phone) a speedboat (with a 455 in it), waiting out in the bay, the speedboat would roar to life, and you'd be yanked into the air and soar out over the bay. That was cool !!!
  18. I agree, when possible, and that would apply in any situation. Some would find it an expensive proposition though, unless a guy really enjoys road-trips and a lot of time in the car.
  19. If you can maintain two residences, why not rent a small condo/apt and come spend a winter in Ft. L. before you decide. Fort Lauderdale is the largest city in Broward County (which is the most reliably "blue" county in the State). There's as much action as you care for - from a couple times a week to all night every night. The mayor of Ft. L. is gay, all the councilpersons are too. A large percentage of the cops are gay - and over in Wilton Manors, everybody is gay (but it's more costly than Ft. L. too). Yes, we get hurricanes during the summer/fall months. Yes, they can be absolutely destructive. FL isn't the place to buy some big fancy house on the beach, fill it with precious everything's and expect that it'll stay like that forever. For that matter, homes well inland can be damaged too. Yes, there are Magaroids around here .... hmmmmm .... that rhymes with something, doesn't it .... but they're not around the gay neighborhoods. Maybe they will be one day - but so far they're not what you'd call "a presence" in the city. Sure - the swamps are full of alligators and magaroids, but they're miles away. Broward in the most reliably Dem county in the state. re; prices - yes, the real estate market has been hot for some time now. That will cool off at some point, and some realtors seem to think it's already starting. If you're interested in the arts, welllllll .... not much of the fine arts anywhere around here. Theatre, galleries are regrettable. There's a semi-pro ensemble in Miami that comes to offer concerts, and at least they don't attempt scores they don't have the forces to carry off. It's not that we don't have the facilities - there's a fine new(ish) Performing Arts center downtown, but then a rather bland stew doesn't taste any better when it's served on fine porcelain either. It all boils down to, how much do you detest Old Man Winter? Here in Ft. L., we just wrapped up a week of "Winter" - temps in the 40's overnight, highs in the upper 60's/low 70's daytimes. That's it. Plus, we can do outside horticulture all year long (if you like that kind of thing - most don't however). I loved Chicago - but I detested the winters, and I have no regrets. Had all the great stuff about living in a great City, and pleased with where I live now.
  20. I have no experience with "private" gh's, but plenty with those in the fuckjoints/backrooms of bars, etc. Aside from the standard medical precautions (PrEP, Pep), the guy that's gone to the trouble of making a gh somewhere in his house demonstrates that he's interested in that particular kind of action, and he's determined enough to create the means by which it can happen for him. I wouldn't be too worried about any issues of your personal safety; clearly any guy that contacts you wants what you've got. After all - he took the trouble to create the venue. If the guy is close to your location, you might wind up getting "regular" out of it.
  21. Agreed. Any of you guys have a hardon for pudgy, well-fed lawyers ??? Give it a coupla months ... there should be plenty rolling around. 😁
  22. You're not the only one. If you're missing something, I am too ....... One would think that we - of all groups of folks - would know better than to hang on to old, long-outdated prejudices. We're all one. We all rise or fall together. Our differences are far less significant than what binds us together. There's an old saying: "Love thy neighbor" and it means "literally".
  23. Not in my understanding of the term. What it counts for is, you love a bottom to understand that you're the guy with the Cock that's going to bring their Holes all kinds of pleasure. And, that's plenty .....
  24. Did you intend an "out" after the "with"? That's an interesting thought. I wonder, however, if any real Dem would attempt to get elected via "seconding" the red wave. The election cycle will start again in about a year, if not less, and the Dems will be hammering for at least a full year before the midterms; some already are. By that time however, there will be an appreciable number of votes up for grabs, as the R's who feel betrayed by T re-think their vote in this past round. T's recent actions appear almost child-like to most paying attention, and as the detritus of his flailing about results in the chickens coming reeeeeeal close to home to roost, there will be many prospective Dem voters to "bring home". In short, Trumpism will be defeated by it's own followers reactionary blowback.
  25. There's already a "sad" button - I just clicked it on your post. However. We could really use an "I'm so pissed off I can hardly breathe" response. Some guys aren't all that proficient in the English (written) language, and can't express themselves within the parameters of BZ.'s accepted responses.
