On a day to day basis, being poz doesn't really affect me beyond taking a pill. The going to the doctor every 3-6 months gets annoying, but you learn to live with it. The only real pro to it is that you don't have to worry about catching it anymore. I'm not one that gets off on my status or anyone else's. I never have, so I don't really understand the chaser mentality. Why anyone would want to have to take medicine everyday and get blood tests every 3-6 months is beyond me. It can be expensive and time consuming some times. Would have changed my behaviors had I known I'd pop poz? Maybe, but probably not permanently. Had PrEP been available when I was younger, I certainly would have taken advantage of it! -
