Not at all. Lots of "older" guys keep themselves in shape, eat sensibly, go to a gym. It takes a bit of effort to stay in shape, and Slammer is full of them. Sure, there are younger guys there too, plenty of them, for that matter. If we use a cut-off age of - oh, say 50 - I'd guess that there are more "experienced" men than younger guys though. There's enough of everything for every guy over there (except parking - just sayin ...). Retired guys from the Northern climes usually like to move to warmer areas with all the "amenities" of sexual debauchery already well in place. No more winters, and plenty of wanton sex. -

There's no easy answer, is there? Given the eventual hit of a serious storm, sure - I'd move to somewhere safer, but where ? The climate is worsening everywhere on Earth these days ... where would be better? I loved living in Chicago, but the winters were just frozen hell. I love living in SoFl too, for a number of reasons. Prices for houses in my neighborhood are up 8x more than I paid a few years ago. But, move to where? I don't want to have to learn a new language. I like my house, my neighborhood, the friends I've made, all of that, I like all the raw sex, I like my life here. Peddle it all and move to where ??? I'll most likely wind up taking the storm-hit when it comes, pick up the pieces, and stay put.

So, per my usual routine, I went over to Ramrod for a beer before heading over to Slammer. There were guys fucking each other everywhere, just like it used to be. Apparently, the management got a "pass" on the rule re: no sex in the bar - for PigWeek. What I want to know is, if they can get a pass for PigWeek, then why not for the other 51 weeks of the year? For the sake of their patrons who bought drinks, drank them, got sloppy, and fucked each other all night long. For the sake of the "regulars" of loyal patrons who made the bar a "go-to" destination all these years? Last night, it was fan-fukkin-tastic. I suppose it will be tonight too. I don't ask - am almost never told by the bottom. There are guys with identifying ink in the fuckjoints, which only means to me that they're licentious pigs - just my "type". The only one I know about that's popular with our lot, is the Link motel, over on US 1. All the guesthouses have action going on, but the Link seems to be where a lot of locals go for either a quickie, or a longer, multi-guy event. It's not close to any other gay joints (that I know of anyway), but that doesn't mean all that much either. US 1 (aka Federal Highway) is a divided, 4-lane road, mostly retail/businesses, and plenty of traffic. I'll always recommend Inn Leather, down by the airport, but I'll bet they're full through P.W. You'd need to rent a car or take a lot of ubers to get to the hotspots. Same with the Link. Any other Ft. L. guys have more to add?

Well, now you know why so many of us that want to ditch Old Man Winter move to Ft. Lauderdale. It seems to me that there's a "built-in" disparity regarding pigsex, in that Tops can only deliver X times, and bottoms can take loads until their Holes are so full the loads are leaking out of their ass. First, welcome to BZ. All kinds of guys enjoy this site, and for all kinds of reasons. We hope to hear more from you. I see in your photo that you're familiar with Leather gear. If that doesn't mean established connections, then I suggest you be proactive in establishing those connections, since those are the men that have already formed their Leather Identity, and can help you with identifying/developing yours. By all means, reach out to the Bd/Sm Leather clubs, organizations in your area. There are Leathermen who can and will assist you in all kinds of ways - but only if they know you're there.

You're entirely correct, of course; the educational system in FL being only one of the worst. Public school educators have left the state in droves, and who would blame them? Even the private schools have lost substantial staff, thanks to the state government. Sadly, that is also completely true. While Broward County is the most "Democratic" county in the state, the influx of pinheads has diluted that status somewhat - which is one of the reasons I'm active politically for Liberal/Progressive/Democratic causes. We won't know what the impact of the Democratic movements are until the elections, but there's a better chance of less repression here than in other areas of the state. re: the real estate prices, they're not rising so fast at all these days: a few months ago, prices were rising exponentially, and folks were buying. Now, not so much - at least around the neighborhood where I live. There are areas/neighborhoods with substantial gay homeownership, and it feels less threatening. I don't mean that everyone fucks their neighbors (but it happens, of course) - I mean that we have neighborhood block-clubs, organizations, etc, and look out for each other. At the very least, it feels a bit more insular. I think the restrictive access to women's healthcare is the "wild card" all over the country. Note the recent elections in the East/Midwest states: really pissed off women (and their supporters) came out in droves to vote the R's out. And all the R's can do is go on about Hunter ... impeaching the President .... it seems that we're in the midst of the Triumph of Un-Reason in the Republikan Partei.

That's true, but apparently it's thinner in some areas, which allows those subterranean faults to develop fairly easily. I don't have "facts" to offer, but some say the rock layer is thicker here, less so farther from Ft.L.

Who doesn't want a free, instantaneous swimming hole in their back yard, complete with crocodiles, iguanas, and heaven-only knows what else ???😁 Fortunately though, sinkholes are only common in certain areas, with one exception: The city streets are all asphalt, which cracks in the sun, which creates fissures in the asphalt, which fissures widen and deepen during the rainy season, and the city doesn't quite do a very good job of keeping the holes (which will swallow a car-wheel and not even notice) filled. Some of the major arterials are concrete, but it's hardly common.

Well, call me an optimist, but there's at least a decent chance. Our Dancing Daughter - Margo Rubia - has been lying low these past months. The other Senator - the moon-faced one with nothing but those staring, blue eyes in the entire face - was actually considering a run, but support didn't materialize. I think the "wild card" this time around is the issue of women's health care rights. That, in and of itself, may be enough, but there are other hopeful signs too. The educational system has been gutted, since teachers no longer can. No one likes that. While the "cost of living" is reasonable, certain issues like homeowner's insurance has not been addressed. Gas is under $3 here, grocery prices aren't that terrible, given that a lot of stores offer "bogo's" which doubles the value, particularly for groceries. I guess I'm just better at being an optimist than a pessimist. We'll see ....

To the O.P.s'. question: I think we social/cultural "outcasts" need to be sure to be inclusive of everyone in the bathhouses (or any other queer sexual venues). I wouldn't want to fuck one, but I surely would talk to them, do what I can to embrace their presence. I know I'm an oddity, but - I've never cared much for women in general, and certainly not sexually. If we want/believe in "inclusiveness" (meaning we plain old regular gay guys), then we need to express inclusiveness in our own behavior, and to all our brothers (and sisters) at the very least.

btw - all you guys that are coming for Pig Week: Don't assume it's going to be sunny and in the 80's around here. Well, I've been reading this thread for a while ... all I can say is, I've never run into a Hole that's too loose to Breed, with one exception: the bottom had just been taking fists (I mean clenched hands), and fist was all that he could even feel anymore.
