If you’re venting, clarify that. as for MAGA hat wearers, chances are a large portion of those morons do not fully understand what it actually means or entails, because for them, racism is essentially “I didn’t physically assault a POC, or Lynch, or etc.” They don’t understand the nuance or the grey of what that hat or slogan represents. In addition, the white folk who do understand that nuance aren’t willing or or tired of trying to discuss or challenge them. While the responsibility of that type of work should not have to be placed on the shoulders of POC’s, it usually is. And when you say, “all the white men get the men I’m sexually attracted to,” does that mean you are only attracted to one type of man? And if so, if that is a “sexual preference,” does that not go against your own statement of not being racist? For a very long time, I was only attracted to white guys. It wasn’t until I started watching porn with black me in it did I begin to really see them. Truly see black men and black bodies as hot as fuck. While we can say that sexual preferences are just “what we like,” we are definitely cultured into seeing certain physical aesthetics and attributes as desirable. Saying, “I’m only sexually attracted by white men,” as a preference, I believe definitely has racist undertones because I’m essentially excluding entire races of people based on...well, their race. and while this is up for discussion, I don’t hate people who have preferences. I just have a preference for self-aware, Openminded people.

I believe it is far more complicated than just saying, 'gay porn is racist'. You have what sells, which, historically, has been a specific type. Niches come in with alternative offerings, which while offers up some new representation, still supports and reinforces stereotypes (big black top, asian bottoms, fiery latinos, etc. including twinkly bottoms, big-dick-jocks, etc. which can create challenges for some people, I would argue is not as damaging as representation that generalizes an entire race of people). There is no way that you, or I, individually, can challenge and force producers to create more porn. What we can do is find other openminded gay men who want to discuss this, and try to have healthy and sometimes awkward and angry dialogue about what turns us on. I spent the first decade of my life as a top, refusing to bottom because I didn't want to live that stereotype. I'm also an Asian guy who is not hairless, super-twinky, and 5'6.
