  1. The two were similar in layout, reflecting a 1970s style, and they were just about a mile apart on the same street. The Suncoast was sold in 2007, the plan being for Home Depot to put a store there. The Great Recession took care of that idea. An apartment complex of about 300 units, repeatedly emphasizing that it's pet-friendly, opened on that site last year. The Flamingo was sold in the summer of 2019, and a 245-unit complex is going up on the site. It too is pet-friendly, to the tune of a $350 pet fee up front plus $15/month. On the other hand, if one is living there, the pet fee shouldn't be a worry: the 800 sq ft studio starts at $1625, and the 2 br, 2 bath 1200 sq ft apartment starts at $2900. The Tampa Bay Times, reporting the closure of The Flamingo, wrote "Neighbors also credited the Flamingo with freshening up a part of their waterfront community. At the time it opened, the resort replaced an abandoned hotel that had become an eyesore and a haven for drugs." By the time of the Flamingo's closing, history had been repeating itself. The hotel/resort that's being developed on Central Ave, I suspect, is not likely to have the same ambiance as the Suncoast and Flamingo. I'm not saying that nocturnal trysts won't occur there, but it's difficult to envision "cum dump specials" becoming part of that establishment's atmosphere.
  2. Just imagine the possibilities if your GPA had matched your "fresh catch count." You would have graduated with "summa cum loads" honors.
  3. Reading for any period of time, let alone 8 hours, would likely be out of the question, the light being too dim.
  4. Which calls to mind Bill Clinton's statement "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."
  5. Like he had to prove he wasn't screwing a woman...?
  6. The Office -- in the 500 block of East State St. I knew people who had gone to it 15 or 20 years before I began to patronize the place. That would be the bar at 7th St & 5th Ave; the owner was a guy named Jack. It was generally a more pleasant place than the Office (or so I found it to be); I spent a good amount of time there each summer when I was home from college. Years later when my partner and I visited my parents, I learned that Jack had opened a bar waaaay out on West State St. We went over there one night, and one might easily imagine my surprise upon seeing, sitting at the bar, Curtis, one of the regulars from the 7th St bar. Time and alcohol had written their messages upon his visage, but Curtis remembered me with no prompting (as did Jack), much to the amusement of my partner.
  7. I wasn't surprised at all, and I expanded my vocabulary as well.
  8. Eeeeeks...!!! I offer additional proof of the proposition that it's a small world: I grew up in Rockford, and in my college years, the bar that was catercorner from that ABS was my hangout. (I never went into that ABS; I wasn't much into ABS at that time. I can't remember the name of the bar, but I can picture the owner as sure as if he was standing in front of me.)
  9. Thumbs up on the new profile pic (I really did notice before today)….

I appreciate the kind words, thank you.....

  10. Thanks for the follow….

  11. Am I the only person who had to look up the definition in Urban Dictionary?
  12. The first two fires occurred within a week. Tampa FD had a suspect, but that seems to be as far it went. [think before following links] https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-tampa/tampa-fire-rescue-identify-suspect-in-two-ybor-city-arsons. The third fire was several months later, and the suspect was arrested. [think before following links] https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-tampa/fire-ruled-arson-at-closed-business-in-ybor-city. There were assorted rumors that the business had had financial difficulties. Draw your own conclusions.
  13. Ybor Resort and Spa, 3 fires in 2017, arson each time.
  14. A search of the Hillsborough County Property Assessor's website shows that the place was sold on March 28 for a cool $1.5 million.
  15. Needless to say, my thanks to @fskn for sorting out what the "it" meant in the phrase "tested for it."
  16. My college biology class was a kazillion years ago so I may have missed something, but how would an antiviral (the PrEP drugs) prevent the progression of a bacterial infection (syphilis)?
  17. Another one that I forgot to put on my list.... A variation of this complaint: the bottom has shot a substantial load on his chest, but when the top pulls out to shoot on the bottom's chest [yeah, I know], the bottom's chest is as dry as a desert.
  18. To hell with the Lamborghinis, give them each a full tank of gas.....!
  19. This was something else I forgot to put on my list. I'll add the related complaint of camera shots being way too close. I'd occasionally like to see the entire body of each guy during the action. I appreciate that many viewers enjoy a close-up view of the action, but I don't think the camera focus has to be so tight as to enable one to count hair follicles.
  20. An example of the "sunk cost fallacy," our tendency to continue with something we’ve invested money, effort, or time into—even if the current costs outweigh the benefits. We end up making irrational decisions that are against our best interest — essentially digging ourselves into a deeper and deeper hole (no pun intended).
  21. If you learn anything, could you share? My Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary cap is looking a bit sad, and it's time to look for a replacement.
  22. In the first instance, you're not a content provider. [think before following links] https://www.webshield.com/post/mastercard-introduces-revised-standards-for-adult-merchants (April 2021 description of changes to MasterCard rules); [think before following links] https://segpay.com/the-content-creator-compliance-crisis/;[think before following links] https://segpay.com/the-keys-to-the-new-mastercard-rules/;[think before following links] https://segpay.com/MC_RevisedStandardsForNewSpecialtyMerchantRegistrationRequirementsForAdultContentMerchants.pdf. Beyond that, I don't know (though it's been an entertaining half hour rattling around the interwebz and finding this stuff).
  23. I'll suggest another reason, one I heard more than a couple of times when I played in the Philadelphia area: a black man doesn't trust another black man to keep quiet about the encounter. In fact, the apprehension went farther than mere gossip as, for example, any acknowledgement of each other on the street could quickly lead to "how do you know him?" No one, or at least the men I met, wanted to be asked that question by family and friends. They figured that they were far less likely to encounter in their regular lives a white man with whom they had played, thus minimizing the risk of exposure.
  24. I knew I had forgotten something on my list (see above).....
  25. Look at this guy's profile and peruse the list of postings by him. If his posts over the last couple of years are remotely truthful, his conscience has already talked to him. There's also a mention in one of his posts about his boyfriend being "a bb slut too, but we keep it secret, to make it fun." (Jan. 1, 2020 post) It's good to check one's moral compass every now and then, but experienced cumsluts who sound as if they're just on the edge of cheating for the first time simply grind my gears.
