That is indeed a failure on the part of the US, and it's failure across the board. Neither political party has championed full, universal coverage, to the shame of both. To the issue of taxation, a reasonable expectation is that when a Government gives universal care to it's population, and taxes that population to pay for it, everyone benefits. Those that are already wealthy can afford to pay, and those who have always had little, pay less. The hook lies in the fact that everyone pays at least something. The problems start, however, when the more affluent decide they shouldn't have to pay for everyone else (which, of course, they don't), and that excuse for "reasoning" is rampant in the US lately. Greed is one of those "catching" diseases, and it can spread rapidly. It takes leaders of conscience to keep greed at bay, which is glaringly absent in the US these days.

We can add China and India to that list, which nations have actually increased there importation of Russian oil products (meaning crude + refined), and Turkey as well. Apparently though, Modi is considering reducing India's dependency on Russian oil. China however, remains the biggest customer of Putin's financial crutch by a substantial margin.
