This is a really interesting question so I went ahead and looked into it. It looks like HIV+ people with seizures can be treated with ARVs and AEDs (antiepileptic drugs) but only in certain combinations as some AEDs weaken ARVs and vice versa, and in a few cases the combination of the two produces extremely toxic effects in the patient.
