This isn't an issue of consent.

All other things being equal, it's disrespectful, rude, and cowardly to bail on a meeting when the other person has made the effort to travel some distance. I'm sure it's happened to many of us before we got wise to the type of guy who does this.

I'm fairly certain @Sfmike64 didn't misrepresent himself and, in fact, it's often the flaker's fear of being caught in misrepresenting *himself* that leads them to bail on a hookup.
